We were given a room upgrade to the state room which was absolutely massive. Great huge windows and chandeliers. We were a little worried that it would be cold but the wall heaters did eventually warm up the big room. There is a lift for getting your bags upstairs. The hotel is central and within walking distance of many places to eat.
With a traditional bar and restaurant, The Scot offers continental breakfasts and free Wi-Fi. Located in Oban center, the hotel is a 2-minute walk from the seafront and Oban Ferry Terminal.

The staff went above and beyond to ensure a positive experience. The property was exceptionally well taken care of and the room was large with very comfortable beds. The loch across the road from the hotel was gorgeous and it was only 10 minutes from Oban.

Breakfast was amazing especially when Riley was on, his creamed scrambled eggs were just lush no other word could describe them. Our host for the stay Rachel was attentive, friendly, and extremely great at service. We had an evening meal at Porchini at sister hotel No17 and the food was also out of this world. Our view in the room and the quality of the bed was exceptional. We will be back this is our second visit with our previous stay at number 17. 26 has a different feel, more relaxed and homely.
