    So much historical interest.

So much historical interest. The abbey, Andrew Carnegie birthplace experience, fabulous Pittendreich Park - originally surrounging the local landowner's house from he and his family were banned on the one day townspeople could visit it for being too radical .He bought it in 1902 and gave it to the people of Dunfermline. The resident peacocks have just been given the freedom of the city . Easy access to Culdross, the most perfect post medieavel burgh Scotland, the Fife Coastal Path, and Edinburgh.

Mary Queen of Scots' historic town offers a lot for a visitor to see: an impressive Norman abbey, atmospheric palace ruins, a saint's cave, and the birthpalce of Andrew Carnegie. The first Carnegie library has a really good local museum above it, featuring its linen-making past and the construction of the Forth bridges. It has a congenial high street (on a hill), and good bus services if you want to explore the surroundings.

Not a big city , nice places to eat, fantastic big country park , near to city centre, absolutely wonderful, donated by Andrew Carnegie. Easy rail or bus travel to major cities, fairly reasonable prices, but don’t use ScotRail app, get paper tickets.you can travel on the buses all day for £ 11.50 pp. by purchasing a east of Scotland day rider ticket, good value. Plenty of decent shops and supermarkets close to hotel, lovely big church and abbey ruins close by.

A gem of a city, and a secret that now the people of Edinburgh are cottoning onto. It's got a beautiful Heritage Quarter with loads of trendy bars, cafes and restaurants. Fantastic old buildings, a huge amount of history and one of the most beautiful parks in the world - Pittencrieff Park - is glorious. It really is like a mini-Edinburgh without the fuss and crowds, and such a lovely place to hang out.

Lovely modern looking hotel, few mins from the main hustle and bustle of dunfermline. Free parking is always a bonus to myself when i choose to stay somewhere. Was a great price we paid for a last min family trip. The check in staff was lovely and was super quick in bringing a travel cot round to the toom when there wasnt already one there like we requested. Even set it up for us which was super nice! The heating was on so the rolm was lovwly and warm, the wifi worked really well. The room was fairly big also.

We stayed in a lovely, great sized family room. Staff on reception were very friendly and helpful. Truly wonderful breakfast & the service in the breakfast room was excellent. Bar staff were also very friendly. Excellent hotel and will hopefully stay there next year, when the England v Scotland bowls charity international, takes place again in Dunfermline.

This was our first experience with a Witherspoon hotel and we were very pleased. The location was right where we wanted to be and we enjoyed an evening walk around Dunfermline. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable, and the price was a good value. Once we found our way in, the staff person at the bar was friendly, informative and efficient.
