Comfortable bed and really comfortable pillows. Good breakfasts and no rush as they were on until 10 o'clock. The weather was brilliant and we returned home the day before the storm.

Unfortunately I arrived late so didn't get to use the facilities.
However in my short time there, the staff are helpful the room was incredibly comfortable the bed and pillows were amongst the best I've stayed in.
However, I made a point to phone the hotel
As I left a personal item in the room which was valuable to me but not valuable as an item.
I was desperate to get this back and I spoke to a lady called Kelsey.
She spoke to me several times , probably more than I expected to ensure that I've got the item back safe and sound.
Many people think this is normal practice but in my experience you don't always get such good service with things like this. I would like
To stress my thanks to Kelsey 🙏 and I called the hotel to ask that she be mentioned in any team meetings or complementary issues from customers.
Willl definitely stay here again, for me staff is more important than a room, although this was good in both areas and was extremely good value and a great location for Dundee City

As a solo female traveller I was placed on a ground floor, in an interconnecting room for 2 nights at the very back of hotel.....Seems to be no policy on solo female guests !
Whilst the room was very clean and the bed linnen was good quality...the room felt old and tired! Gouges out of walls, chips in bath tub, two badly repaired, one recent......very unappealing to use. Grouting around bathtub bad.
Tea/ cofee offerings were decent quality and complimentary biscuits provided each day.
Decent size TV, but found the room really cold even with radiator at high. Also random loud noise of fan or generator room 138.
Please note if you are travelling for business there is an extra 10 min diversion via back road between 7.30pm and 7.30am - appreciate its not the hotels fault.
Did not try leisure, bar or restaurant offerings so cant comment on these.
I would have relayed my comments to staff but there was never anyone on reception except on my arrival.
Overall disappointing! And would not return

There was much that was attractive about Dundee, historically and architecturally.
The City Museum and Art Gallery was interesting, but the art was not always well displayed, with too many exhibit cases blocking views. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The building is a gem by Sir George Gilbert Street.
The shopping centres were too many and too tawdry.
The churches were closed, which is sad.
Street level shop fronts were unworthy of the fine buildings above.

It was a one night stay in Dundee that was connected to an event for work so we did not get long enough to take advantage of all what there would be on offer in and around Dundee. Will certainly be back for a longer period to time!

Plenty of things to do, despite it being between Xmas and New Year. We thoroughly enjoyed the Discovery and Verdant Museums, the Observatory, and two football matches at Dundee and Dundee United. It was less than a hour's driver to Glen Clova for a superb walk up to Loch Brandy, and St Andrews was les than 30 minutes away.
We enjoyed an Indian meal at the Cinnamon Restaurant, a meal on New Years Eve at Rama Thai, and an evening in the Counting House (Weatherspoons).
The roads were quiet, with minimal traffic, and it felt safe wherever we went.
We were surprised and delighted with our stay in the city.

Lots of pubs and coffee shops.
Lots of pubs and coffee shops. But our evening restaurant, the Bird and Bear, was a massive disappointment. We should have left earlier.
We downloaded a treasure hunt which was great fun. The pedestrian area is excellent.

This is an old estate house which has recently been renovated. Room are modern and spacious. Very quiet.
Dundee airport is beside it but it’s only for private planes and we only heard one which wasn’t very loud. We ate in the hotel and it was very good
Attentive and well mannered staff, good food even though I am on a limited diet (coeliac) and my wife is on dialysis the staff went that extra mile for us to ensure our comfort, the hotel location is perfect to visit Dundee central to everything.
no resteurant but a subway close by, the hotel is accessed from the kingsway Dundees ring road which gives easy routes to all parts of Dundee. the hotel was quiet and calm so slept well and cheap price
I was fortunate that I was able to booked in early which enable me look round Dundee more freely.
The fact that the hotel was above the Main railway station is a big bonus for rail traveller.
A cheap, clean room in Dundee perfect for visiting the city. Kettle was nice touch and the bed was comfy. The Bar in the Main Hotel had a great drink selection and food was available.
