The museums, galleries provide lots of opportunities to explore Dundee's history. There are lots of pubs and restaurants providing food and entertainment. Dundee has a very 'walkable' city centre with two main malls and other shopping within easy reach.
Dundee's location also provides access to the coastal resorts nearby and, further away, to the Scottish Highlands.

Be prepared for the weather, Dundee can blow cold and colder from August to May and maybe in-between, but the city! WOW!
Run down a bit now though still fantastic buildings, architecture, history and endeavour but it tries and it strives to survive and for the most part it wins.
Love this place, yes old slippers and comfort, dated, but if you want to visit Scotland- visit Dundee.

Great city, lots of cultural things to do, cute shops, vintage shops & amazing food places. Lots of choice for veggies. Quiet during the week which was lovely. There’s lots of free things to do in the city too.
Some standouts for us was a trip to the Mills Observatory, Broughty Ferry, the Discovery & the McMannus.
Foodie highlights, The Bach, Gallery 48, Black Mamba, The Noch & although we didn’t eat here, Flame Tree cafe had a big veggie vegan menu.

The Apex Hotel is in an excellent position on the old quayside in Dundee. There are many historic and interesting places to visit at, and around, the location, and the town centre is just a few hundred metres away.
The hotel is modern, clean, and had all we needed to make our stay relaxing and comfortable -- including a spa. The bar and dining area are bright, airy and well staffed. The food, (dinner and breakfast), was delicious and well served.
All the staff were friendly, courteous and helpful
Great hotel, super modern decor, contemporary, next door to train station, museums, waterside, town centre, right next to coach stop on arrival, restaurant looked nice although I had made alternative arrangements for meals, staff were helpful and welcoming, I was on a trip to watch football matches in different towns but look forward to returning for next visit to Dundee
The room was exceptional. Such lovely attention to detail, you had us learning more about Dundee and wanting to explore! From the sheepdog quotes, Dundee woven curtains, marmalade tiles and a Beano!
The room was also quiet, really big, super comfy bed and lovely bathroom products.
I will be looking out for more Hotel Indigo branches in the future! <3
Didn’t have breakfast in hotel, was meeting up with daughter and family in Dundee.
Will definitely use your facilities again, we were very impressed with the hotel and its facilities.
