Dent is a small quiet village with just a couple of pubs, a cafe, shop and bistro (I think!) Only one pub does food and the bistro only open certain days. The cafe and small museum is open daily as is the shop. The village isn't too big so easy to walk around and admire the quaint little cottages and take in the history. There's a really pretty riverside walk that's flat and easy accessible and for the more seasoned walkers there's plenty of hills all around the village. The roads through the village are quite narrow in parts - even for cars.

Dent is a lovely place in the Dales, plenty of camping going on around & a few cafes for drinks lunch & tea on some days. Beautiful countryside with some nice dog walks etc. Certainly enough to keep you occupied for a few days. Museum in the village another must see before leaving.

Sue was very considerate about our late arrival, she made us feel welcome.
Our rom was immaculate with comfortable beds.
The breakfast was absolutely superb.
Sue was very informative about where to visit as we didn't know the area very well.
There is no parking in the village but we were given a free parking pass for the main car park which is just 3 minutes away.
The surrounding countryside was stunning.
