Darlington is a yet town with very chatty and friendly people. I enjoyed my stay. I stayed in an accommodation very close to the train station and the mall. I didn't really visit a lot of places because I was there for work but I had a nice time

I have been to Darlington a number of times, found it very welcoming and interesting. On this occasion I was passing through in connection with work and chosen for it's location, to make my onward journey the next day easier, due to it's proximity to the M1 and A66.

We were in the area for a family wedding , so were not sightseeing. I would love to return with a good bike to explore the surrounding countryside. Lots of local wildlife, and not very hilly for an older cyclist.

Quirky hotel in an older building. Nice big rooms, but bathroom could do with an update. Breakfast was good. You can use the Bannatyne gym and spa facilities, but be aware that they are about a 5 min drive away. Great location in the centre of Darlington
