The Old Rectory is a hidden jewel. It is a lovely old building, full of character. The views and surroundings are beautiful and there is much scope for strolling or walking from the door. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the food very good. We will be visiting again.
Get away from it all at this hotel high on the side of the Black Mountains, overlooking the Usk Valley and the surrounding hills.

The room we were allocated was appalling. No air conditioning and baking hot. I mentioned to the staff immediately who I gave the benefit of the doubt initially however I asked for a call back that never came so this review is the outcome.

Accommodations and location were exceptional. The staff was cheerful and very helpful. We really enjoyed walking to Crickhowell for meals along the footpath. Parking was a bonus. It's a great place to stay to experience the amazing Welsh countryside.

The Britannia Arms was very good - that’s where we had sandwiches and drinks very Friendly staff and locals. Two nice friendly Independent local grocers and a good butchers too. Easy to walk round the village - a nice bridge and via duct / weir over the river- lead into a canal very pretty walks .

Great place for a sto off on a motorbike trip around tha Brecon Beacons. Shame that there was no slot for us for an evening meal, but The Old Rectory did fantastic burgers and beer.... but no triple room as required.
Excellent breakfast at a little cafe on the high Street!

Great location for hiking.
Great location for hiking. Quaint village town with lovely shops, cafes and pubs. Staff all very friendly. There are many historical tourist attractions but I didn’t get to visit them as I was short on time and mainly went for hiking. Parking is the only challenge.

it's one of my favourite places in the world!
Lovely little town, good parking facilities, great food available wonderful views and plenty to see all around. Love the river Usk and its surrounding area. At least 2 great art galleries.
Felin fach Griffin, near Brecon, has great food, so does the restaurant by the cathedral in brecon. manor Hotel in crickhowel has very good food but very slow service!
Absolutely lovely accommodation - the Loft suite was a huge room plus the entrance and dining area and bathroom. Really comfortable bed and it is really as roomy and pleasant as it looks in the photos. Plentiful breakfast to enjoy in the room including fresh berries. We liked being a walk from Llangattock and Crickhowell - it’s a pleasant stroll down to the Horseshoe Inn and back but felt more ‘breathing room’ being set in a quieter location away from the town centre. We would definitely stay here again.
Crickhowell looked superb in the sunshine. Cafe-type tables spilling out into the High Street increased it's welcoming friendly appearance. Dragon Inn is an exceptionally attractive building fronting onto the end of the High Street. Quiet yet close to an interesting range of shops. From the front door you can see the hills rising up behind the houses.
Lovely period accommodation, right Inthe middle of this lovely little town and retaining lots of original features, slightly quirky - but everything we needed was there. For our business trip so much better than a hotel as we were able work at the dining table. We had breakfast at the dragon inn which I highly recommend.
Lovely little cottage, great location in the pretty village of Llangattock. Walking distance to local play park for children and local town of Crickhowell with shops and places to eat.
Lovely location. Quirky interesting hotel. Dog friendly. The staff were happy going about their work and provided a good service all round. Beautiful hanging baskets.
