Fridge in room was very useful. Excellent modern window blinds. Had iron, ironing board, hairdryer and proper coat hangers. All sadly lacking in many a more expensive hotel we have stayed in. Good travelling distance to knockhill race circuit. Pleasant staff. Good communication with hotel. Easy check in/out

The staff were friendly and helpful. The location was very central which suited us for our visit to Alhambra theatre. The breakfast was great and the staff attentive then too. It was a lovely sunny evening when we arrived, so sat outside with a drink, plenty seating in different areas.

The room was larger than expected, with three windows and a good view of. the High Street. The en-suite was also large, with a bath/shower giving the option of either. Comfortable beds and seats in the room. Great value for money.

Nothing to attract a visitor and no amenities that we could find. Too far from Edinburgh. A typical working class town, clean and functional. The people we met were great, friendly and welcoming and were the major positive of our stay - the local cafe we found was great, the owner was delightful and made us feel very welcome as did her customers. Felt like home (I grew up in a similar town in the South).
