Plenty to do in the area, National Trust, English Heritage and various private places around. unfortunately Bus transport was restricted. The hotel is on a dual carriageway which means you can only go one way out of the site and up to the next roundabout to go in the opposite direction.

Having lived in Medway towns throughout childhood and dad, uncles and cousins worked at Chatham Dockyard, it was on my bucket list. It didn’t disappoint. Well worth the visit. The guides are brilliant. You need a whole day to get round it all and don’t forget to book Call the Midwife tour in advance. Excellent for wheelchair users.

I travelled for work. Focus was not on sightseeing. However, from previous experience, there are a wide range of restaurants/cafes. Rochester Castle, Historic Dockyard and Royal Engineer museum is not too far away.

We went particularly to spend a day visiting the Chatham dock yard. It was amazing in size and content. We learned a lot about its history and were fascinated in going on board three historic vessels there. The eating areas were very good and gave good choices even for Vegans! Plenty of parking under cover.

The hotel has a very central location, being close to Maidstone, Rochester and Chatham Dockyards. The swimming pool was really nice and made the stay even better for us, as we do like a swim. The room was comfortable and had everything we needed. The bed was really comfortable and the shower quite powerful, which we like.

Lovely rooms, great service, friendly staff, beautiful hotel! The hotel was decorated for Christmas beautifully - despite there being some parties going on during the evening - the staff were still brilliant! Such a lovely stay we had! Rooms were clean and beautifully decorated!

Rooms were clean, recently renovated and had nice additions like plug sockets next to the bed for your phone. Of all the cheaper hotels in Chatham, this is the most pleasant.
