If the weather had been better we could have seen a lot more of the local area. But what we did see was very pleasant. It was wonderful to see the wild ponies wandering around without a care in the world and also nice to see the respect that motorists and locals and visitors had for them. Hopefully my next visit will coincide with better weather thus allowing further exploration of the area.

Brockenhurst is a beautiful place, always ensure we visit when on the forest. Fabulous trinket shops, pet store and a bakery that always has a queue outside for good reason. A number of independent local shops to support. Normally either donkeys or cows taking a leisurely stroll up the middle of the High Street

Brockenhurst has a variety of shops and coffee shops and an excellent Indian Restaurant. Lovely scenery and plenty of walks to enjoy. The donkeys and ponies wandering through the village is always a sight to see! Going back there soon.

Enjoyed our stay at the Brockenhurst ! Highly recommend.

Enjoyed our stay at the Brockenhurst ! Highly recommend. We only stayed for one night and it was the perfect base to explore the New Forest. We would return for sure. The hotel is beautiful, and our room was perfect, bed was so comfortable! NO TV but really NOT an issue for us at all. Ideally I would of liked a little RADIO which I have in my bedroom at home, just like listening to music & the news in the mornings when I am getting ready. The breakfast was absolutely perfect, we really enjoyed it so much ! The staff were friendly and helpful.

Lovely picturesque village in the heart of the New Forest.

Lovely picturesque village in the heart of the New Forest. Easy to get to by train from London, Bournemouth or Southampton. A great centre or cycling or walking. Village centre is compact with lovely local shops, pubs and restaurants. Not cheap but then you would expect that. C The Commoners Bar on Brookley Road is reasonably priced and has excellent food especially the pizzas which are made on the premises. The Foresters Arms also on Brookley Road, serves good home made food as does the Huntsman on Lyndhurst Road. All the pubs are super dog friendly. Not a place to vitit if you are scared of horses and donkeys as they roam free pretty much throughout the village and surrounding areas.

We absolutely loved our stay at Forest Acorn. The apartment is truly exceptional in terms of comfort, facilities, warmth and location. Brockenhurst is a lovely place to base yourself to explore the New Forest with lots of lovely restaurants and cafes nearby. Our host was very helpful with local tips and was very friendly and accommodating. I knew there was a welcome box but was surprised to see it included bacon and sausages, really lovely touch. On a rainy day we even enjoyed the games available. Thanks for a lovely stay!

Location very handy for New Forest hiking trails. Nice character to the hotel. Very friendly and efficient staff. Probably nicer in summer when the garden can be used. Excellent food. We liked having the option of eating dinner in the restaurant, as well as in the bar, with slightly different menus.
