The Lodge was very comfortable. The decor was really nice. Very clean and everything we needed for our two night stay. Nice to have a private drive as well. Kerry was very friendly and helpful and gave us lots of options for travel and eating out when we were in Cardiff to the Bruce Springsteen Concert.

Blackwood is a small town in the welsh valleys it has every shop you can think of on the high! Pubs with live music. They have a miners institute for live theatre and live music events and shows. 2 big designated car park’s central to all shops restaurants and takeaways.

Travelled on a business trip and staying at the Lodge was a delight. Lovely welcome from the host, offering home from home comforts. Tastefully furnished and comfortable accommodation, I only wish it was available for my next trip, I will be staying again. Highly recommended.

We were only here for a night but needed to go in the town for breakfast. There were plenty of places to eat, a cinema and shops. We liked the facilities and would visit again. There are lots of lovely places around to drive to within a reasonable time, such as Caerphilly Castle and Cardiff.

McKenzies cafe. they do the best food in the area, breakfast to die for, staff are soooooo nice and polite. They were so helpful in sorting out a "Takeout" for the journey home. Parking (at the time) was free, behind the main street (coming in off the roundabout 50 yards on the right, sharp right). Asda, drive past (on your right) about half a mile, turn right, half a mile back to the shop ?? Nice cinema.

The hotel was outstanding and very welcoming, we could not of asked for anymore for the price it was for the night, we will be visiting again very soon, we couldn’t take advantage of the spa as it was kind of last minute booking but we will be using these facilities next time.
There was no children there also that made even more calming and relaxing also.
The pool area is really nice and calming as well.
Hotel doesn't provide breakfast but we weren't far from places to eat.But we had a big family meal in the pub restaurant in the evening and the food was amazing!Hood choices.Well cooked Well presented and loads of it.Good value too
