Lovely old hotel, very close to Castles and Holy Island. It is a quant gongortable stay in acquitted location. Don't expect 5 star treatment or facilities, but it is comfortable, clean and value fir money. We did not stop for breakfast as we gad to leave early to beat the tide on the causeway to Holy Island. For value for money, and location, you could not fault this hotel

Best shepherd hut stayed in - beautifully decorated and had everything you needed. Plus some extras e.g., log burner, nice toiletries, sky light. Liked that situated near the river so had a lovely view. Fenced off so made it easier with two dogs to let them explore. Staff very friendly and gave good advice for walks etc. pub food great quality and dog friendly. Breakfast was great too. Lots of choice.

Quirky little village, lots of character.

Quirky little village, lots of character. Coastline of Northumberland is stunning but expensive to stay so 5 miles inland is much cheaper. No food on a Sunday evening, had to drive 3 miles down A1 to Purdy Lodge which was OK.

Belford is a pleasant village and not a Resort but it is a convenient base to visit the many interesting places in its vicinity. There are three Pubs, a five star Fish and Chip place, and an excellent Farm shop and restaurant.

Belford is a small Village with little or no amenities, it took 10 minutes to walk the whole village, we only stayed there for one night while travelling on the A1. The hotel is disappointing, one other pub that didn’t look inviting, no restaurant, cafe or shops. Great area for sightseeing but one could stay in many more attractive places.

As a village Belford has everything. It has Bamburgh and Budle Bay10 mins away. Just off A1 so convenient, it has the usual 2-4 pubs, shops.. The village could do with facelift just as Bluebell hotel does.

Belford has seen better days but is a great location for exploring Northumbrian coast. Stayed here many times at The Market Cross Guest House which is excellent, but was unfortunately full for my dates. Had dinner at Apple Inn at Lucker which was excellent. Recommend butchers in Bamburgh . Excellent pies. Excellent Gelato at chippy in Alnwick. YES chippy sells this!

Very friendly staff, great breakfast. Nice options to eat there in the evening. View from bedroom was amazing and spent a good while watching hares in the field opposite in the evening. View of Bamburgh Castle in the distance. Bed comfy. Easily accessible location and short distance from Lindisfarne, Seahouses for puffin cruises, Beadnell and Bamburgh. Pretty Central for most Northumberland sites to visit.

A welcoming roaring real fire. The attention to detail was a delight. e.g fresh milk in fridge outside room. A borrowable parking permit for Northumberland. Complimentary cake and rum (yes rum) in room and complimentary crisps and fruit outside our room. Excellent restaurant serving a varied and well prepared well received fare with accompanying choice of drinks.

The cottage is in the centre of Belford, which has two pubs and a hotel so plenty of eating opportunities. Also a well equipped kitchen and a supermarket in the village if you want to cook a meal.
