Our room was spotless and spacious. We love being able to have the
windows open to hear the river. The view is amazing and so calming. The
grounds are immaculate and a pleasure to walk around. The staff always
goes above and beyond. The breakfast was so good and Kevin was very
attentive. Always a special treat to stay here when we visit Scotland.

The room was cozy and really made you think of a Scottish country house. The bathroom was large and well equipped. The staff were pleasant, particularly the barman, who gave us great whisky suggestions and a friendly chat, and the woman who ran breakfast on the weekend. She was really friendly and kept things running efficiently Delicious buffet and hot foods for breakfast. The grounds were stunning and made for a very relaxed atmosphere.

It was a good location, close to shops and local restaurants. The staff were very helpful with tips for the easiest drive to our next destination. There was a problem with the first room- it had not been cleaned but the staff quickly made adjustments and provided a very nice, comfortable room.

Lots of places to walk, along the river bank, up the hillside to the tower, or just around the towns.
Plenty of variety of places to eat or shop.
Easy to move around and visit local sights, except when there is a big storm which tends to flood some of the roads, so I would avoid them if it is possible at all to do that?

We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner out on the Friday evening, Italian Mama Mias in Banchory was great fun, upbeat, great staff and food. We had booked the hotel for Friday evening as a bolt hole stop prior to attending a family wedding on the Saturday. We had also contacted local hair dressers Riah Hair long before arriving. The staff at that salon were lovely on all counts, with great intentions BUT I would not recommend them for wedding guest hair styling. My hair clips fell out within a few hours and my daughters curls that took an hour to set, dropped within the first hour of leaving the salon despite copious amounts of awful hairspray being applied. :(

Banchory is a small town with plenty of good shops and supermarkets on hand. It is an excellent central base for exploring the area from Aberdeen to Balmoral and Braemar. Plenty of walking and cycling routes available for the more energetic.

The price was exceedingly good for the quality that you got for the room. Had the best TV service out of ALL hotels I have been in (you had a choice rather than Freeview)
. A very comfy bed slept really well. Good quality towels and staff made sure everything was in place when I came back to my room. Would definitely return again if I am in the area.
Jokingly enough decent toilet roll(You know if you know)
Very convenient access from the rooms to outside and to the pub.
This is a beautiful small hotel. Furnished with style and good taste throughout. Well appointed public rooms and comfortable public sitting areas. The food in the dining room was exceptional, the monkfish was outstanding. The Scottish breakfast was delicious. The staff were, without exception, delightful, helpful and courteous. The bedroom furnishings were of top quality and the bed most comfortable
Having stayed here last year we expected a little more. On checking in we had been allocated a room in the hotel opposite that they had taken over. This other hotel had been standing empty for a year and our room was tiny, leaking shower and the television did not work. The worst was that it smelt musty/damp and so did the bed covers.
Great location- friendly staff and excellent food. Amazing views and nice to be able to sit outside for dinner on a warm evening. Rooms were very clean and had all that was needed. We had single beds which were comfortable. Would stay again. Definitely best value for money in Banchory.
Beautiful hotel with very friendly and efficient staff. Large elegantly furnished room. Beautiful dining room and common areas. Lovely grounds with a short 10min walk to main street.
