It was very convenient to the area, and the hosts were helpful and kind. We had a wonderful dinner while we stayed, enjoyed the lamb and fish & chips. Breakfast was also very tasty, really nice coffee. The bed was comfy and everything in the room was great.

This is a great independent hostel, warmly welcoming, cozy, and comfortable. We stayed in a six bed dorm, which had an attached toilet and shower, while we attended the Braemar Highland Games. You can trave by bus from Ballater to Braemer but be sure to get the early bus.

We just had a short wander on a beautiful day around the village. And it was later in the day. Cafes seem to close around 3.30/4pm on a Saturday. The flowers around were just perfect. . We were looking for an evening meal. We thought the places we saw were too expensive. So sad to see the War Memorial had been defaced by purple paint. No respect. Overall it is a beautiful place and liked that parking was close by.

Ballater is a beautiful historic town. It has lovely architecture, a Victorian train station where Queen Victoria used to travel to. Lots of restaurants, pubs, and the townspeople are very nice. It's close to Balmoral and was a perfect location to drive around and see the sites.

It was situated centrally for travel around the local area. Placed inside a small little Scottish village which was scenic and beautiful. The hotel itself was fabulous and I was very welcomed from the minute I stepped to the front door. It made a huge part of my holiday. Would absolutely stay again in the future. Loved my little road trip up North.

My sister and I loved the beautiful and quiet countryside location, near to the pretty town of Ballater. Louise and Martyn's B&B is beautifully renovated and decorated. Breakfast is delicious with top-quality produce and home-cooked to perfection. Our room, a twin, had very comfy beds and luxurious inclusions. A great stay!

After our walk in the Cairngorms, we seized the opportunity to see Ballater not only from the bus. The staff in the hotel were brilliant.
