Outstanding restaurant with terrific dinner food and service and cozy ambience. The ground floor garden room, though small, was efficiently laid out, and had a nice bathtub/shower combination. The dining and seating areas were very comfortable, as was the bed. I also liked that the nighstands had drawers, there was a normal closet with hangers and enough drawer space to put short stay items, and an in-room coffee/tea kettle. Sweet treats welcomed us on arrival in our room.

It was an authentic creaky old property in a beautiful sleepy area surrounded by countryside. Exactly what we wanted. Lizzie and Paul were very friendly and helpful. Some great places to eat within walking distance. We did a 7hr circular hike with a stop off at a pub along the way. Nice to have a bath to soak our aching bodies afterwards!

Lovely quirky old-fashioned English small town in the Peak District National Park. Great to stay as a hub to explore/visit Chatsworth, Buxton, Monsall Trail, Curbar Edge, Arbor Low Stone Circle. Fabulous scenery and walks. Lots of small privately owned shops in Bakewell, on the river, and some lovely snug pubs with great real ale ;-)

Bakewell is is a pretty town with good cafes for lunch.
Not very good for evening dinner. Just seemed basic and not even nice pub grub.
Lacking choice of decent evening eating places unless you want the very over priced restaurant
Staff, Lynda was great. She gave us a warm welcome and explained services offered within our stay. Everything ran smoothly. Exceptionally clean, lovely decor and cosy environment. Location is excellent for access into the centre of Bakewell. The views Pm are spectacular and the sound of the church bell just caps it off. There’s parking not far from the room. Look, we loved it and will plan to revisit at some point. You will not regret a stay at Bagshaw hall
Central location in town and by the river
Our room was an excellent size, with a huge bath as a plus. For a small town centre hotel, the room size was a surprise. Parking isnt included but plenty of info, before our stay, was sent to us to help with this and we found close parking without a problem, even in high season.
Good location in the centre of Bakewell. Lovely setting overlooking the gardens. Very peaceful considering the proximity to the road and town centre. Secure parking. Good hospitality tray in room. Spotlessly clean. Nice towels. Friendly and welcoming staff. Good breakfast.
Location is right across the way from the town centre car park, virtually on the doorstep of Bakewell centre.
well stocked crockery items and dishwasher was a bonus
nice decor in the indoor living room
Good configuration of beds.
very clean and comfortable, very helpful and friendly welcome from the staff and perfect location - Bakewell town centre only a couple of minutes walk away
