The property is located in a beautiful village and close to Bakewell, Chatsworth and other local attractions. The staff were welcoming and friendly and the food we had in the restaurant (evening meal and breakfast) were delicious. Our room wasn’t massive but was very nicely decorated and spotless. The bed was really comfortable.

The room was nicely designed but in need of an upgrade we thought. Nice to have cooked breakfast brought to the room. Great location - right in the middle of Bakewell but out of the way. Nice big bed

The accommodation was very spacious and comfortable. There were plenty of places nearby to get an evening meal and we enjoyed an Indian meal in Bakewell and a pub meal at the Ashford Arms. We were meeting our daughter and the accommodation was perfect for catching up with family as there was a private sitting room. It was very quiet which was much appreciated.

Lovely quirky old-fashioned English small town in the Peak District National Park. Great to stay as a hub to explore/visit Chatsworth, Buxton, Monsall Trail, Curbar Edge, Arbor Low Stone Circle. Fabulous scenery and walks. Lots of small privately owned shops in Bakewell, on the river, and some lovely snug pubs with great real ale ;-)

Not very good for evening dinner. Just seemed basic and not even nice pub grub.
Lacking choice of decent evening eating places unless you want the very over priced restaurant

Most things, the scenery, the area in general, people polite and friendly. Cafes selling Bakewell Tart, small and compact centre but interesting places and shops to visit.
Good location to visit other attractions too
Location was excellent, right in the centre of Town. We were given a corner room on top floor with windows facing in two directions offering good views of Bakewell.
Nice little touches like the radio playing classical music on entering the room and little chocolate bars and local books.
The outside bar area was very good and an excellent sun trap.
We managed to park out car in the Hotel car park which was just across the road, but is relatively small and on a first come basis.
Very friendly staff. Very clean
This property is in an ideal location (100/100) in the centre of Bakewell. It is a short walk to the town centre and cattle market. The two bedrooms were very nice with comfortable beds. One bedroom has a shower en-suite and the other has a bath. There is an open plan dinning area and kitchen / lounge. The TV was like being at the cinema.
Good location in the centre of Bakewell. Lovely setting overlooking the gardens. Very peaceful considering the proximity to the road and town centre. Secure parking. Good hospitality tray in room. Spotlessly clean. Nice towels. Friendly and welcoming staff. Good breakfast.
The breakfast was delicious and extra toast offered if required. The room was spacious and comfy. It was beautifully decorated. We have booked to stay again in a few weeks. The location of the hotel is perfect. An easy stroll into the centre of Bakewell.
