We celebrated my husband’s birthday on an overnight stay on 3 February. The staff were amazing and the food delicious and very reasonably priced. The bedroom was beautifully decorated with everything we needed and the bed super comfy. It was lovely and quiet. We had a loch view which was awesome. Breakfast was super delicious. Cannot fault anything at all.

Am awesome spot at the head of Loch Long.
Am awesome spot at the head of Loch Long. We travelled to Loch fynne and onwards to Inveraray on our full day there. We dined at Ben Arther Bothy on our first night and the Village Inn on the second night. On both occasions, the food was piping hot and good portion sizes.

Very small town with a nice loch side view.
Very small town with a nice loch side view. Many nice walks, although a lot of them are quite tough going but give some incredible views.
There is some public transport via Helensburgh and Tarbet so it's not too isolated but be sure to check times etc so you don't get caught out.
When I went (September) a lot of places were closed so mostly ate out at the hotel(s)

Lovely town.
Lovely town. Pretty remote, but has a couple bars/restuarants and coffee shops. A general store.
Stunning views in all directions. Right on the water's edge
Buses go to nearby towns and easy to explore Loch Long and Loch Lomond.
Train station nearby
Multiple places to stay, not too expensive.

On a cold winter's night, with a biting wind howling round the the eaves of the old hotel; a warm cozy room in a small Scottish village, just a short distance from Loch Lomond and overlooking Loch Long, is an ideal spot to rest up after a long trip.
Most important is the dog friendly atmosphere. No dog, no visit.
After several stays, I haven't met all the staff but those I have are friendly and welcoming.
Good value for money.
The room was cosy, the view of the cobbler and Arrochar alps was amazing across Loch long.
The bed was comfortable and clean, and the TV was of a high quality.
One of the major things I liked was the quietness of the room, there were guests next door on both nights and I still heard nothing. I was able to get a great rest between hiking days which made such a difference.
Lovely room, very clean with a very large modern bathroom with a bath and shower. Beds were comfortable, staff were very helpful and friendly. Lots of areas to walk dogs which was a bonus. Plenty of bins to dispose of their waste. Arrochar is a lovely little place with Loch Long just over the road from the hotel.
Location is beautiful. Arrochar is a stunningly located village on the shore of Loch Long overlooking the Arrochar Alps with Loch Lomond only a few miles away. Theres a lovely pub near the hotel and a restaurant in the next village, Tarbet.
Staff friendly, cosy hotel especially this time of year.
Room clean and good facilities in room i.e coffee machine , toiletries etc
Good selection on breakfast menu
