From the moment I arrived , I felt welcome , the owner met me and showed me around the gorgeous property, all the great amenities. My room looked onto a beautiful garden with summer house. Food amazing cooked to order and they even went above and beyond to give me a wee extra for my perfect bfast .

This was my first trip in the winter (I usually visit in the warmer weather). I still loved it and the sunrises were spectacular. One thing I might take into account when I come again is that many of the shop are closed monday and/or tuesday and/or wednesday. Fine if you're there for a week but I only really had tuesday and wednesday.

Coastal walks are great and would go back for more of that in better weather. Extreme cold drove us back to our lovely cosy cottage. Visited during the quiet post Festive period when lots of places close for renovation etc so perhaps not the best time to gauge the place. The Bank pub and the Dreel Inn were both lovely and served top notch food and drinks. The 'award winning' fish restaurant was disappointing especially since it was the reason for going there! Didn't have a chance to try the other chippies as it was only a short stay.

I love Anstruther - we have a short break here every year. The coast is stunning and the small towns are very pretty and full of character. It is a wonderful place for walking - in fact, it is one of my favourite places in Scotland.

Anstruther and the surrounding areas , Ellie, St Monans, Craig and Pittenweem are just a few miles in both directions . The bus to St Andrew’s is outside the bakery on both sides so in 20 mins you can be in St Andrews .

Gorgeous wee village in East Neil, one of the most beautiful areas in Scotland. Lovely shops near the harbour, and easy walking distance of the equally beautiful villages of Pittenweem, St Monans, Crail and Cellardyke

I visited Anstruther specifically for a boat trip to The Isle of May. The weather proved to be excellent for us and the trip I would recommend to anybody interested in Nature and specifically seabirds like Puffin, Arctic Tern, Cormorant, Shag, Guillemote, Razorbill and so on. I was there for 2 nights in a lovely B&B (Brackness House) which was within 5 minutes walk of the harbour meaning we had no need to seek parking (which can be an issue at busy times). Anstruther is a beautiful little fishing port and I will re-visit probably as part of a walking holiday on the Fife Coastal path. We ate at the Dreel pub on the one evening. A fabulous warm welcome and lovely food, though a bit limited for my wife who is a confessed fussy vegetarian. I found the meal to be a little expensive at first but have since learned about the tax issues facing small businesses in Scotland so have revised my opinion about the costs. It certainly was not over expensive and I would happily go back. We ate the second evening wotha takeaway from the Wee Chippy on the harbour front. Again lovely food, a little more expensive than I was expecting, but again, not massively so and probably reflective of all the local prices. I would happily recommend both the Dreel and Wee Chippy as places to eat.

Immaculate cottage. Plenty of kitchen equipment. Lovely view from the back yard. Walks along the coastal path and places to visit inland - the Secret Bunker was a pleasant surprise, and Cambo Gardens were lovely. Crail itself is worth exploring, nice cafes and pub, and folk club fortnightly. The Scottish Fisheries Museum at Anstruther kept us for longer than we anticipated! You can get a bus along the coast road and walk back along the shore, anywhere from Elie, St Manon's Pittenweem or Anstuther. All have excellent cafes.
Very kind and welcoming owners who exceeded our expectations. Delicious breakfast, clean and contemporary bathroom and breakfast room, free parking, excellent location for exploring Anstruther. Extra facilities in the garden available but not used because we had so many places to visit.
Lovely, clean apartment, well situated for local villages and easy walk into Anstruther, and practically on the Fife Coastal Path. Plenty of room, well equipped kitchen
