Lovely homely feel, with awesome breakfasts and chats with the host.
The location is just far enough to be in the quiet countryside, yet close enough as a base to see the nearby tourist sites

It is a quiet town very convenient for visiting Winchester, Salisbury, the New Forest, Newbury, Whitchurch and Southampton. Anton Lakes local Natural Reserve gives a good opportunity to relax sitting on a bench and watching wildlife birds. Don't forget to visit the local Iron Age history museum and beautiful St.Mary's church.

A quiet town, without much to see. The Anton River canal near the old mill and the Anton lakes are the only places worth visiting, the river has ducks and swans as well. The town has supermarkets, and a train station and the distances are relatively easy to walk, even with luggage.

Like so many towns, trade has been forced out and many cheaper shops move in.

A good spot to go out to visit but Andover itself is not so picturesque as it shoukd be.
I nice chalk river runs through which has not been enhanced.
Such a shame.
Indians,Chinese Wetherspoons and other pubs available. Went to the Siam Orchid. Very nice and booking might be necessary.
The Jack Russell is a lovely country pub/hotel set in a beautiful location. The rooms are large and well equipped, staff were amazing, and everything is extremely dog-friendly (a very important point for us). Both dinner and breakfast were delicious, with a great choice of options, many of them sourced from local produce. Overall a very pleasant stay.
Room was clean and comfortable Tea and coffee facilities replenished every day including free top anywhere in hotel Location of hotel ideal in the middle of town and also parking minutes from hotel Rooftop gardens was an extra bonus
Excellent value Hotel with ample parking. Most pleasant staff in 24/7 reception. Good bed, good shower, good sized room. All in all best western, Andover, far exceeded my expectations.
