The hotel was well placed for our needs.

The hotel was well placed for our needs. We went shopping during the day. There was a selection of buses near the hotel where you can reach other parts of the city. In the evening we went to the Theatre which was a short distance from the hotel. You can eat in the Hotel or there are a choice of nearby restaurants which offer lovely meals.

No tourist information so we walked miles around industrial areas and housing estates in search of sites. Basically, around university. Beware the dreaded bus lane fines as car sat nav could not cope with central road works .. not sure council have put sufficient temporary signage up. Countryside awesome, beach great if a little bracing in autumn. Maritime museum brilliant ... friendly and informative and warm. Good Chinese take away just by the apartment.

We have family connections here and always visit for Xmas. But it is also a fantastic city. We visited the cathedral in the old town and walked over the old Don bridge. We always visit the art gallery when we are in Aberdeen - it has changing exhibitions and fascinating things. It also has wonderful fruit scones on the top floor!!!

    ULEZ fines killing the city.

ULEZ fines killing the city. I drove into crown street, parked for a week and received a £60(reduced from £120 if paid within 2weeks) then drove out.. I feel radicalised by this stupid pointless ULEZ System. It fines ordinary motorists and achieves nothing but feeding the coffers of robbing councils.

The receptionist greats you with manners, friendly and very polit, for what I paid for the room was reasonable and very clean. The bed sheets were fresh and white and i mean white. I travelled up to scotland as my grandmother was in hospital. Therefore bookings were last minute. Bon Accord Street is less than 3 minutes from Union Street, which is the main road that runs through Aberdeen City Centre. Would i stay again an the answer is yes. I will be coming back to stay.

First time I stayed at this hotel. From check in to check out everything was spot on. Friendly / helpful staff, good breakfast and while rooms are smallish, they are clean and have everything you need. Only slight grumble is that bed could have been a bit more comfortable. Other than that, well done to the Holiday Inn Express city centre Aberdeen and its staff.
