We liked very much the cleanliness (top), the accomodation and the very comfortable twin beds. Thanks to its conception and the location, it is an excellent place to have a quiet, restfull overnight on your way south - or back north as was in our case. The kitchen equipment is very convenient to fix a simple meal with the micro-wave oven or the small cooktop.

Kurt and Nadja were welcoming, warm and wonderful hosts.
The gite was absolutely amazing.
Everything; every fixture and fitting had been given thought care and attention.
It is the most relaxed, rested and restored we have felt anywhere.
Our evening meals prepared by Kurt and cooked by Nadja were also wonderful.
Breakfasts were tasty and wholesome.
We loved the whole experience and we loved our hosts.
We didn't want to leave!!!!
On the whole people were friendly. It is a pretty town I found a nice shop to buy pre-prepared meals but did not want to eat out as I was alone.
The architecture was interesting and walking around quite pleasant. I'm sure it is much livelier in the Summer months.

A typical French old town which we visited in late October...
A typical French old town which we visited in late October so very quiet and as it was a Monday nothing was open for an evening meal except McDonalds. I'm sure it is very lively in summer and the area around the square is attractive so it would not be fair to judge Ruffec on our experience.
