Les Charrons is located in Ségur-le-Château, just 17 miles from Jumilhac Castle and 21 miles from Hautefort Castle.

Segur Le Chateau is a medival village, it is quiet picturesque and we'll off noisy main roads. Karen and Dean made us so welcome. The accommodation is perfect, comfortable with hot and cold drinks provided.. Breakfast was outstanding with all you could possibly want. The car was parked securely.

Payzac is a beautiful quiet clean village.

Payzac is a beautiful quiet clean village. Bar Tabac proprietor,Sarah was very friendly as were some of the locals we met at her Bar Tabac. We travelled to Rocamadour, segur le chateau, la Moulinossou, lac Rouffiac. Central enough and maybe a week is enough before moving on somewhere else.

A good place to stay while visiting the Dordogne region.

A good place to stay while visiting the Dordogne region. Payzac is worth visiting by itself, nearby are a number of beautiful medieval villages worth seeing. Payzac is a sleepy town by itself, so you would be happy to return in the afternoon from e.g. Lascaux caves, and go to a tavern for a wine.
