Our stay was very short and although the weather was rainy and overcast it did not stop us from using the excellent bus and train services to get around few of the attraction that Paris has to offer. Hope to return during better time of the year, stay longer and explore and enjoy even more of Paris.

Dirty, full of immigrants doing shady stuff.
Dirty, full of immigrants doing shady stuff. Not a very safe feeling while being there. Tourists taking photos everywhere you can barely walk, and whatever you want to see you will most definitely end up in someone else photo. I will not even talk about queues for tourist attractions cause even with ticket and reservation you will still have to wait a long time, meanwhile a lot of people try to jump the queue. It was incredibly disappointing. It proved that the West is becoming the Wild West.

Paris is where you should be during the festive Christmas...
Paris is where you should be during the festive Christmas holiday times. Staying central makes a big difference since you can really use the time effectively by cutting the travelling times. Eiffel tower is so beautiful with the hourly sparkling is a sight that you will never forget. Aim to get to the tower around 5pm while still there is light and then you get to see it in the dark as well as in the light. A leisurely walk by the river is a must as you get to experience the Parisian life better this way- the little flower shops, souvenir shops, coffee and bakeries are best experienced than planned. You must pre-book all the places you need to go to in advance. We had to queue for 2 hours to get to Dior museum and had to miss Claude Monet water lilies display as we only had 2 nights in Paris. Paris is great for meandering in the dark under the beautiful Christmas lights. Not having a tight schedule is a luxury as you need to decide whether you want to spend the entire time in museums or experiencing the city feeling and breathing the life there. For me, what mattered most was the latter and I feel we made the most of our time there this Christmas!
I love Paris and the romantic vibes there in the winter!

Don’t go at peak times, schedule entries into places early. Couldn’t get into many things as the lines were ridiculous. Louvre we had booked a time slot but still over an hour wait to get in as you line up with everyone else

Hotel was beautifully presented and in such a good location. Montmarte is definitely the place to stay in Paris. The staff were really friendly and the rooms were such good value for money compared to other hotels in Paris. Really good bars, restaurants and cafes as soon as you walk out of the hotel. We managed to walk to most of the attractions but the metro is the best and cheapest way once you get sick of walking. Will definitely be coming back here on our next visit to Paris!
This is a budget hotel and therefore we expected it to feel basic. We stayed for 1 night while changing trains and just wanted somewhere cheap and central. Location is great near several metro stations. The room and shared shower was clean, the mattress was comfortable and the staff were very friendly. For the price we paid in Paris it was a decent deal.
Very nice, quiet hotel in the Latin quarter of Paris. For our stay of a few days it was perfect. Close to lots of good restaurants, Notre Dame Cathedral and the river. Room was lovely, decorated in the French style which we loved. Staff were friendly and helpful with our many questions (we are not from France).
Beautiful old hotel, my room looked like I was in a palace! I went for the Tour de France and was the best option I could find near by. Hotels in the area are VERY expensive. Breakfast was nice and the walk to work the next day was amazing, you are close by all the attractions in Paris.
