Beautiful location, stunningly decorated home in the countryside. Gregory, the host, was warm, welcoming and funny (which is always appreciated). The rooms had beautiful details, beds were super comfortable, and the breakfast was superb.

The area is stunning with so many interesting things to do and see. The farm itself is delightful- the animals are well loved and adorable, the accommodation is cosy and comfortable, with so many caring personal touches. Breakfast was absolutely amazing, with fresh pastries and bread, fresh milk and yoghurt from the farm next door, organic fruit, local jam and honey, and home made crepes if we wanted. Hosts Lucie and Renaud are the most beautiful and interesting people you could ever meet. We managed with a mix of French and English to get by, and really felt welcomed into their home. Nothing was too much effort and they treated our children as if they were their own. Our teen/tween boys said this was their favourite place on our entire trip to Europe. I cannot recommend Petites Oreilles highly enough.
You need a car, but parking isn‘t easy. Unfortunately, I wasn‘t prepared, so I had to scout things out. Because my days were filled, I often left too early or came back too late to enjoy all the opportunities available.

Montignac is a pretty small town with a good range of resto’s and bars, as well as a small supermarket. It’s very attractive with some preserved buildings from the late medieval period and a wide range from the 17th to 19th century. There’s a canoe hire place in the town too. Overall a well rounded small town.

This is a lovely old town on a winding river bank. There are lots of restaurants, pubs, and little shops to experience and explore. The area has much to offer to anyone interested in anthropology, good food, charming people, and gorgeous countryside.

Beautiful old very French village with butcher, patisserie, tea shop with chocolates, lovely restaurants riverside, Good tourism bureau for maps, sites, etc. Good parking facilities. Easy to navigate tho narrow streets. I found it more to my liking than Sarlat which is larger and more commercial, but with more choices and a more beautiful old quarter.
I did the walking tour of Montignac which we very interesting. Montignac is home to that Hotel Rosarie, very upscale. So easy to travel to all the villages along the Dordogne. Directions are impeccable.

Alexander was a fantastic host! Enthusiastic and kind, with everything we needed as a family. The unit was excellent - large bedroom for our 3 children, large master bedroom (with a single bedroom attached for a small child/baby), and a lovely downstairs area with sorting room, dining & kitchen.
The town of Montignac-Lascaux is so very picturesque, with many places to eat (for a small town).
Overall, wish we had more time in this beautiful location!
Peaceful rural location perfect for visiting sites such as Lascaux and Roque de Saint Christophe. Montignac with its shops and cafes is only minutes away by car and accessible on foot. Enjoyable walks from the door. Clean, well-equipped and comfortable gîte. We had a great stay, thank you.
the PERFECT hotel - the owners are so kind and warm, it felt like a beautiful home away from home in a fairytale. Montignac is perfect, the pool is sublime, the breakfast is incredible, location, parking, everything was 10/10 and we miss it already!
Excellent location within easy (short) walk of the Lascaux caves and downtown Montignac. Abundant seating for dinner and leisure in the garden. Spacious apartment and secure parking.
