Nice view of the canal through the windows, calm location, relaxed vibe... it was super easy to get around in a rental car, by foot or public transportation it could be a bit complicated

Smaller room, clever idea to place a shower in the room to have privacy from other guests, a bit unusual, but completely makes sense to us. Additionally a coffee maker and microwave were a nice touch. Sheets are new, spotless, fresh towels and etc.

The room and facilities were as expected. Nothing spectacular but basic and comfortable. Classic hotel stuff with everything you need.

Unfortunately we did not arrive early enough to be able to explore as we had hoped. Also the coastal access to the hotel was under construction therefore we were rerouted and detoured to the hotel which made it difficult to find. The hotel should include what cafe's or restaurants are close by, we did not know that there was a very unique restaurant near the hotel and had to go to McDonalds for dinner that evening.

I was only traveling through, having visited Dunkerque and on my way to the South, but I would have loved to stay longer in this town. I didn't visit the beaches (in Petit-Fort-Philippe) but from a distance they looked ideal for a family trip. I did make walks on the "Grand" side of the harbour along the coast and in the nature reserve. Really beatiful and relaxing.
