The bedroom and bathroom were fabulous. Loved the 100% cotton bedding and long bolster. The room was charming with lovely mismatched pieces of furniture It was spotlessly clean and very quiet We weren’t going to stay for breakfast as had to catch a train but after reconsidered when we saw the bread and home made strawberry and apricot jams. So yum

Pascal was an amazing host & could not do enough to make our stay enjoyable, he provided everything you could possibly want to have a great stay. The property is brilliant & very unusual with many very interesting pieces, furniture, art, books etc. Bedroom was very comfortable & quirky, comfortable bed, great nights sleep! Brilliant breakfast served by Pascal, again his service was impeccable, fantastic breakfast served to the table.

If I would only have to rate the house and garden, this B&B would surely get a 10/10. I've never seen an old Bourgogne house so beautifully renovated and decorated and I doubt whether I'll ever see a more beautiful one. Surely there's also an audience for which the whole experience would have rated 10/10, e.g. people/couples who are attached to their privacy and independence, and who are looking for a B&B mostly to spend a quality night after having had dinner out, and who prefer to be on the go again right after having had a quick breakfast - which I imagine applies to a large amount of travellers. Also the breakfast was good with undeniably good bread and croissants, and it is served in a beautiful and cosy kitchen.

Everything!!! The apartment was small but perfectly formed and was perfect for us and our dog. Plenty of space outside for the dog to explore in safety! Everything we need was available, including a nespresso machine and coffe pods! The pool was fabulous as were all of the outside spaces!! Stunning views in every direction

Les Roulottes de Maufront, hotel in Clamecy

Set in an orchard 600 metres outside the village of Ouagne, Le Relais de Maufront offers self-catering wooden caravans.

It is very unique and an original and unusual way and place to spend a night. It suited us as we were on a budget and driving down to the south of France, needing to stop on the way and wanting an experience. The Roulotte was sweet and clean and nicely designed and well fitted out. The bathroom is fully plumbed with hot water which was good. We had a sweet breakfast basket left outside for the morning. The guy was friendly when we arrived late.

Clamecy is a friendly and attractive town with a well-preserved medieval core. It is an ideal location for cycling along the Canal de Nivernais and into the surrounding countryside. It has a surprisingly wide range of eating places for such a small town. There is an interesting local museum with an impressive art and archaeological collection as well as a fascinating display about 'Les Flotteurs'. They were skilled woodsmen who floated rafts of firewood up to Auxerre and on to Paris - and who formed an interesting and quite radical rural subculture. I had a fairly dramatic stay in that I had mild sunstroke on my first day's cycling and was taken to the local hospital for a check-up by the paramedics. I was soon discharged but was impressed by their care and concern and that of French cyclists who stopped to help.
