Charming and friendly hosts. Accommodation spacious and very comfortable. Beds super comfortable. Situated in the country but only a five minute drive from the charming little town of Cassel. Easy reach of Belgian towns of Ypres and Bruges. Nice breakfast of tasty breads and homemade jams. Would certainly stay again.

    Must-see for lovers of history.

Must-see for lovers of history. Old city of the Gauls, long before Christ; city of the Romans, with their roads visible from the mountain top; city of medieval battles, remembered by a monument on the mountain's terrace; city of Marechal Foch, the commander of the French armies in WWI. Some nice restaurants, pubs, and little streets to discover. Look for the 'Rue des remparts' - its well hidden, but you will like it.

Amazing small village, both quiet but a lot to offer.

Amazing small village, both quiet but a lot to offer. Real Flamish architecture for a great stay. We've eaten to the Haut bonheur de la Table, a Michelin restaurant ticking all the boxes, but for a reasonable price in the end. We will be back!

The property appears to be newly renovated and is a lovely modern house. The views are stunning. It is a gentle stroll from the centre of Cassel with shops and eateries. There was parking opposite the property off the road and it felt safe for our motorbikes. The hosts left local beer and fresh juice for us as a welcome which was a nice touch. The road leading to the property is cobbled, but we found it ok on the bikes.

We liked that we were in the centre and could walk to the restaurant where we had a party as well as all amenities. Also, the size of the house was great and we were able to be together as 2 couples and the kids had their own bedroom. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming, they waited for us on arrival and came to meet us on departure and they are clearly knowledgeable and in love with Cassel.

Great location on the edge of the beautiful small town of Cassel. Great communication from the host. The room is upstairs in a lovely home. Quirky decor, very comfortable beds. Free parking right outside the house. Fantastic restaurants and bars a short walk up the gradual slope into the town centre. Less than an hour’s drive from Calais.

Firstly, they let me park my motorcycle in the courtyard which was secure. The view from the panoramic restaurant was a good way to start the day. Cassel is a wonderful little town with great restaurants and a lot of history from WW1.

Loved the location in the centre of Cassel. The owners were very welcoming and friendly. We had a meal in the evening cooked by the owner and I have to say was superb.
