The hotel was spotless, inside and out. The room was a room but perfectly formed, ensuite again spotless, a decent size as well. Breakfast was a typical french breakfast, but the preserves are ihomemade, and they were superb. Dinner on the other hand was something else, I can honestly say the food was incredible

Attentive, friendly, open, kind hostess in a gloriously quiet, countryside setting. You need a car, or perhaps bicycles, though there are walks near the house. Paimpont itself has a Secrets of the Forest museum, and an Abbey, both worth a look. Lots of Arthurian legend stuff about, involving travelling not too far.
