This was an unexpected pleasure. I opted to pay slightly more for a view and ensuite bathroom, and am very happy that I did. The decor is rustically wonderful. The bathroom is maybe the best one I've had in France. The beds are comfortable and the staff are very kind. Thumbs up from me.

the rooms were fairly big and the bed was big and comfortable.
The staff was friendly although on the peak times there was not enough of staff to check the people in.
The breakfast was very nice, a lot of options.

The old town was beautiful but it is very hilly so not for anyone who has mobility difficulties. The new town, at the bottom of the hill is a total contrast. It has a great weekly market. From the old town it is possible to get into the surrounding countryside by bus. The number 7 bus to Nevache is a beautiful ride. Walking in the mountains is fairly demanding Just keep an eye on the bus times! Lots of places to eat nearby and interesting little shops on the doorstep.

Please note: I made a mistake in reviewing this Hotel as I was writing about the nightmare of a Hotel L'Oliveriaie in Opio, France.
Please disregard anything negative I said about Hotel de I'Impossible as everything at this site was fine.
Thank you.

The old town was beautiful, but outside of that was difficult to get around as not much public transport. Used my bike and walking a lot for the majority of my stay. Some great restaurants to explore.

Great varierty of restaurants and shops.
Great varierty of restaurants and shops. Everyone very friendly. Easy to park not very expensive. Paths cleared of snow. Lots to see and do that don't cost anything. A few takeaways .including McDonalds and vans selling pizza and kebabs which seemed to be doing briskly business. Well.worth a visit.

Good choice for active travellers because nestled in the intersection of several valleys (great possibilities for biking and hiking). The old part of the town is nice but a little bit too much turist-oriented: certainly it's a good choice for a rest day after sport activities.
Great location! just a few minutes away from the ski-lift and ski equipment shops where we rented our skis. Nice facilities, especially for the price, which was similar to places without these facilities. The staff were really pleasant (which is awesome considering we were in france). There were no issues with noise or anything like that.
Literally everything.
Big, comfortable and very quite flat with all appliances you could imagine.
Huge free car park just 2 min away by walk. Friendly host who lives in the same building. Overall, nothing but praise !
Plus… Briancon old town is incredibly charming, one of my favourites.
Great location overlooking Briancon. Chalets fully equipped and peaceful for a chill out break when travelling. Walks direct from site. Hot tub. Very friendly owner.
