The Room was nice, quite roomy with a balcony and parking and as the town was a little to far for us to walk to we ate in the hotel which was also nice as was the breakfast.

Beautiful, historic and interesting town.
Beautiful, historic and interesting town. The Cathedral is one of the finest in France (west front, vaulting ,stained glass) . The Jacques Cœur mansion with its magnificent sculpture is well worth a visit.

Dining out was a bit of a challenge without a reservation, eventually found a wonderful Chinese restaurant called the Sha Village, well recommended. During my stay I visited the Cathedral St Etienne at night as the light show there is a sight not to be missed if you're in the area. The small old quarter of the town is quaint and interesting also there is a marsh just outside the town that is worth the walk if you have an hour or two spare.

Bourges is a beautiful medieval city with a stunning cathedral and fascinating history. We spent 2 days there and enjoyed exploring the cobbled streets. The museums and shops were most interesting and the restaurants were excellent.

Bourges is easy to discover in one day.
Bourges is easy to discover in one day. Bourges has a magnificent cathedral where you could hike up to the top to see the city from above. Bourges is unfortunately going through lots of renovation as the city has been dying slowly over the last years... I am hoping the local government will make the right choices to renew the city and attract more tourists. It's a cute city after all!

Bourges is a magnificent city with plenty to see. The Hotel ALONE is worth the trip but the cathedral and and whole of the 'old' city is completely wonderful. Very few tourists as yet so maybe I shouldn't spread the word! But genuinely VISIT Bourges, it is quite wonderful.

Cathedral was good, Monin Syrup HQ great (though had no idea it was in Bourges).
Pretty dead place, in the middle of nowhere, good stop off for an afternoon, quite remote, we happened to be on the way across France to the coast.
It was spacious, very clean with private parking in the centre of Bourges. The beds were comfortable and one could have easily slept family of 4 as it was that big. Air conditioning was a huge bonus.
The communication before and after our stay was 5*
I wish we had more time to explore the area. This time stopped for the night on route to south of France.
Hotel the Panette is an historical mansion within the historical catre of Bourges. It is at 1 minute walking distance from the Jaques Coeur palace and five from the wonderful gothic cathedral. The structure is a reinassance building, with XIX century styled forniture. The room was big with a small kitchen and wood table with nice rooftop view.
Anthony was friendly, kind, obliging and very helpful. He gave me lots of information and advice about Bourges. The atmosphere at the hotel was very convivial and relaxed. I am very grateful to him for making my stay a pleasant experience.
The house is interesting, old and of great character on a quiet but easy walk from the centre.
Excellent breakfast. Good amenities. Friendly and helpful staff. Near to restaurants. Have stayed here several times en route to and from south of France as have our family.
The hotel is clean, well located and was perfect as an overnight stop off on our journey to the S of France. There even a couple of places to eat near by.
