The apartment was very modern, comfortable, spacious, and spotlessly clean. The living space was on the second floor which made for nice views across the water in two directions. Everything was in good working order and the full kitchen was well stocked with cookware and utensils. Having boiling water available directly through the kitchen sink rather than from a hot pot was a nice feature. The location in a quiet neighborhood was perfect for us. There were two small grocery outlets close by (one in Leirvik and one five minutes away in Nordragota) without going through the tunnel to Klaksvik. The host met us on arrival to accept our payment and was very gracious in showing the features of the apartment. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this rental.

First off, the location was superb, slightly elevated and ability to walk down to main street area in about five minutes. Bed very comfortable, place was spacious, and kitchen well supplied. The house has some personality as well, with original art which I am always drawn to. I also liked the map of the Faroe Islands displayed under glass at the kitchen table. And the hostess, Sabrita (? spelling) was gracious and warm. Probably the only criticism was that the bath towels were very rough. Besides that, I liked the place very much would recommend and certainly stay there again.

It is a very spacious, clean and charming cottage with an awesome view of the harbor! There is a lot of space for our group. The place was very clean. We also liked having the washer in a good size laundry room and an extra bathroom. It’s within walking distance to town and the jetty to catch the ferry. It felt like living in a home. We enjoyed our stay here!

Klaksvik is beautiful place to be in. We had a wonderful time at the flat and the host is very helpful and responsive at anytime. The flat has everything you need to either cook a delicious meal or clean yourself up. The other facilities, like lighting(both inside and outside), TV and network are perfect too. It is a great and super clean flat to stay in. I would stay here again if I visit Klaksvik next time.

Small but quiet and well appointed. The owner was most accommodating. Due to a change in plans we had to check out a day early and the owner assisted and immediately refunded the prepaid amount for the final day.
Hotel Runavík in Runavík has 3-star accommodations with a shared lounge. The hotel features family rooms. At the hotel, rooms are equipped with a desk.

For us, Leirvik was a base from which to explore other areas. We enjoyed the quiet location and water views but didn't spend time in town. Leirvik doesn't have restaurant options but that was fine with us as we prepared our own meals. We did dine one evening at the Gjaargardur Guesthouse in Gjogv, which is about 45 minutes away by car, and highly recommend that restaurant.
