Impoluto, tranquilo, en el centro y excelente atención
We are located in the heart of the Natural Park Cabo de Gata-Nijar, in the picturesque town of San Jose in the center of the promenade and beachfront, just 164 feet from the marina, surrounded by...
In the centre, on the beach and close to restaurants
Really lovely location
Quiet
Good local bars/restaurants even in November
Long beach to walk along
Quaint squares with children's playgrounds and bars etc
Easy to walk around, downhill to the beach, then flat rest of the way
Parking limited, but we didn't have a problem
Quite a lot of steps plus handrails, for better views
Nearest bar, downhill, was excellent

San Jose is a great little town with lots of bars and restaurants and shops. It is perfect for families looki kg to get away for the weekend and close to their beautiful towns. The beach is nice (it’s not the most beautiful or famous but it’s a beach with showers and toilets) . We love coming here

Small Mediterranean coastal town in the Cabo de Gata National Park. Very attractive location with beautiful beaches and good bars and restaurants. However, we have only visited the town out of season (usually over Christmas) when it is very quiet, but by no means dead. It is a different story in mid summer when it is absolutely teeming with holiday makers

San Jose (out of season, as we've not visited in summer) is...
San Jose (out of season, as we've not visited in summer) is a delightful, low rise, old-fashioned looking place yet with some great (modern) restaurants, bars and cafes. I hope it remains as under developed as it is as it is a total gem on this built up coast. The Cabo de Gata natural park is simply stunning - if you have a car and drive 15 minutes west to the beaches out of town, you will be rewarded with long stretches of almost empty beaches (again out of season) backed by stunning agave plants and rock formations. truly unique and beautiful - long may it continue as a relatively unspoiled beauty spot.

We love San Jose. It's just gorgeous.
We love San Jose. It's just gorgeous. The only down side is that it's not easy to get to nearby places by public transport. It's easy enough to get from Almeria to San Jose though abd tge buses are comfy and reliable. Check out Bar Monsul. Great fun and good value for money. Lovely beaches but too cold in November for us to go in the water.

I don't know exactly why but it's one of my favorite hostels I've stayed at. There's a beautiful outdoor kitchen on the terrace with a lovely view. But you also have the option to eat at the cafe/bar/chiringuito of the hostel. I also highly appreciated that I could just check in when I arrived even though it was before official check in time. The people working at the hostel were very welcoming but still authentic and themselves. I loved my time in San Jose 🏜️🇪🇸🌊
Beautifully preserved cortijo in Hacienda style with very tasteful decor. Large rooms with terrace. Spectacular pool. Within walking distance of San Jose, but with the impression of being in the country. Good breakfast and ample free parking. Western film buffs will rejoice seeing how Sergio Leone used the cortijo as a location for his first Western. Absolutely unique.
Central location in San Jose, great value for money, (my) room with a small balcony, aircon, TV, small fridge.
Very friendly staff, speak english if needed.
