The room was quite basic but had everything you needed and was excellent value. The staff friendly, it was very clean, the balcony had a great view of San Jose. The breakfast was OK, but again, very good value.

San Jose is a great little town with lots of bars and restaurants and shops. It is perfect for families looki kg to get away for the weekend and close to their beautiful towns. The beach is nice (it’s not the most beautiful or famous but it’s a beach with showers and toilets) . We love coming here

Small Mediterranean coastal town in the Cabo de Gata National Park. Very attractive location with beautiful beaches and good bars and restaurants. However, we have only visited the town out of season (usually over Christmas) when it is very quiet, but by no means dead. It is a different story in mid summer when it is absolutely teeming with holiday makers

San Jose (out of season, as we've not visited in summer) is a delightful, low rise, old-fashioned looking place yet with some great (modern) restaurants, bars and cafes. I hope it remains as under developed as it is as it is a total gem on this built up coast. The Cabo de Gata natural park is simply stunning - if you have a car and drive 15 minutes west to the beaches out of town, you will be rewarded with long stretches of almost empty beaches (again out of season) backed by stunning agave plants and rock formations. truly unique and beautiful - long may it continue as a relatively unspoiled beauty spot.

We love San Jose. It's just gorgeous. The only down side is that it's not easy to get to nearby places by public transport. It's easy enough to get from Almeria to San Jose though abd tge buses are comfy and reliable. Check out Bar Monsul. Great fun and good value for money. Lovely beaches but too cold in November for us to go in the water.

The proprietor of the hotel was everywhere, cleaning up, serving breakfast, manning the reception and was very friendly and approachable. We loved the charm and character of the hotel and the location was excellent! We have visited San Jose twice before and this was just the holiday we needed after a bad experience in Cuba in March. We needed a familiar place to stay, a warm hug of a holiday and this hotel and town offered this. So refreshed after spending time here.
The views across the bay. Having a very nice restaurant and bar so close by was handy as it’s a 20 minute walk down into San Jose. Easy walk down to playa de los Genoveses - but you need to bring your own beach equipment as nothing provided in the apartment.
The apartment is close to the beach in San Jose. We picked the keys from a secret location. Very clean, with cleaning products provided. It was lovely to bring our small dog with his bedding etc, and the enclosed garden area provided security for him.
Spacious room with a magnificent view from the terrace, very clean, strong WiFi in the room, delicious breakfast, good location, enough parking space in front and behind the hotel (we travelled in May), nothing to complain, thank you.
Great location in the centre of San Jose 10m from the sea, but still in a chilled setting. Lovely solarium and small but perfectly formed rooftop pool.
