Lovley cosy warm family run place that sits in the heart of their rural community. Constantly busy with locals dropping in and out.
Delicious home cooked food, we had the Menu del Dia a couple of times and it was great value for money and very tasty. Breakfast excellent and cheap.
Everything very clean and the shared bathrooms were no problem at all, Lovely hot showers.
We used it as our base to go walking from, and to explore mountains and oak forests. Very relaxing. Loved being there off season, we stayed mid November and didn't want to leave!

Such a great place and in such amazing surroundings. I couldn’t fault them for anything. To make the experience complete, it would have been nice to have an outdoor hot tub. Staff was lovely and they actually speak English 👍👍

Fantastic location surrounded by high mountains, with trails up into them. Three “pubs” nearby, thriving village on the doorstep. Nice walk down to Cremenes the nearest evening restaurants, a travelling bread van for shopping needs.

Everything was perfectly satisfactory for a one person stay for 8 nights.
Plan your trip and make the most out of it. It’s a beautiful location to start your mountain adventure . There are only two Spar shops, but there are many restaurants and a petrol station. You can also enjoy different aquatic amenities such as kayaking. People in Riaño are very friendly and warm.

The fjords of León!!! A beautiful place. It is a quaint town full of activities to do and people to chat with. Everyone is friendly and caring. The place is lush and I definitely want to go back in winter to see the snow all over

Ria itself sits in the heart of some of the best biking roads in the region, the town is very limited in what it offers above this and the locals all seem devoid of any desire to interact with visitors and on the face of it, quite miserable.

Beautiful scenery for miles and miles.
Beautiful scenery for miles and miles. Riaño has plenty of bars, cafes and restaurants with space to eat in or out, and a small Spa shop is well stocked and fair priced for those who want to cook for themselves. The lake offers watersports, the roads lead up into spectacular mountain scenery, a couple of churches, museum and various monuments attest to the history of the locality.

Family-run local hotel right in the centre of town. Easy street parking right in front of the hotel. The room was clean and comfortable and we loved the small balcony with a table and chairs overlooking the lake. Very good value for money. The hosts were all friendly and helpful. Each morning we had the full breakfast (paid I think €8) which was very, very good and great value. Highly recommend.
The best hotel for the biking fraternity in Northern Spain. Great staff, great facilities, including free garaging for motorbikes and a drying room which proved very useful after a days rain. The lake views are stunning and the food in the bar superb. Staff (especially OB) were very friendly and obliging. All in all, a great experience.
Beautiful appartment in a very attractive part of Spain. View on the lake from one of the rooms. Spacious, perfect for 4 people. Riaño is an amazing place and it seems still undiscovered as it was quiet and not crowded with tourists.
The hotel is a gem. The staff were always so friendly and helpful. The food was exceptional and very tasty. The village is compact and all needs catered for. There are some really lovely walks in a stunningly beautiful area.
Very nice view on the lake. The authentic hotel is decorated with character. Great rooms, The restaurant serves very good dishes. This hotel merits certainly 3 stars.
