This was our favorite dormitory style public albergue on the Portuguese Camino. The entrance door is separate, and to the right of the cafe's door. The beds all had privacy curtains, outlets and lights. We three stayed in the back alcove with three sets of bunk beds; we all got a bottom bunk and no one was above us. Since we set our alarms for 5am, we were able to get up and out without disturbing anyone else. The women's bathroom: use the shower on the right for better pressure. Everything was very clean, and we were delighted to be able to wash and dry our clothes at a reasonable price. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Highly recommended: would stay here again!!

This town was such a nice surprise. I decided to divide my camino stage and Porriño was great to visit. There are plenty of nice restaurants and cafés. It's a beautiful town architecturally, so I enjoyed walking around the town. It's also not a touristy town or a place overrun with other Caminho pilgrims (like me), so I was able to experience the town without a lot of outside influence. On a personal choice note, I actually enjoyed Porriño more than Valença and Tui. I spent a night in each of those locations on my Camino. The other two towns were much more focused on the tourist/pilgrim guests. While I enjoyed Valença because of its history and architecture, the town was more touristy than I would have liked. Porriño has all the charm of a small town, without the interference of outside . A final note about Porriño. The people that you interact with, restaurant, hotel staff or just people you meet on the street were always pleasant to interact with. They were always patient with my limited language skills and made me feel welcome in their town. Visit Porriño!

Jesus is such a Good person! He waited for me to open de door after Check-in time....and saved me. There was not any option in the area.

The apartment was like home from home, fully equipped and spotlessly clean. Situated in a superb location and only a few 100 metres from the centre of town. José met us at reception and was very helpful, friendly and professional. Would definitely recommend if you are planning to stay in O Porriño.
The property was in an excellent location in the Centre of Porrino and close to very good restaurants and cafes. Although it is an older hotel, it is very clean and well presented. The staff were very helpful and professional. They have a large on-site Bar that is located on a lovely town square.
The location was outside of the Camino de Santiago but the owner drove us from and to Porriño. Taking into account this help, it is the perfect place to stay confortably at the Camino (in Porriño) - great return for your money.
