It was a basic apartment, clean, central heating, very hot water. Underground parking, 10 minutes from the ferry. Nothing special, for me it was ideal as a stop over.

I found the staff so genuinely polite and especially a lovely experienced smaller blonde (Rubio) lady her chatted si kindly with me at breakfast and helped me with my Spanish . I didn’t ask her name , as I was travelling alone this made me feel so welcome as did all the other staff

The room was comfortable and clean and cosy. As expected, the hotel is only a short walk away from the beach.
Featuring free WiFi throughout the property, Palacio de Arce offers accommodation in Puente Arce. And guests can enjoy a drink at the bar. Free private parking is available on site.
The hotel is pleasant enough except we wished we had specified a room with a view. The first room we were put into was roadside and noisy and ugly. Fortunately when we asked, the host offered us a better room on the 3rd floor. Still with no view but with a good sized balcony that drowned out most of the road noise. There is plenty of undercover parking and a good bus service into Santander just down the road from the apartment and also several supermarkets very close by. The host herself was really lovely.
The location was easy for the ferry. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. Good parking in front of the hotel. Handy to have cafe and bar on site.
