the house is on a mountain near to fornalutx, and has a beautiful terrasse with a lovely view down the hill. We more often used the beautifull chimney in the living room, because the weather was very cold. Everything we needed was in the house. the owner and the caretaker were both very helpful und kind.
Offering barbecue facilities and quiet street view, Els Abats is set in Fornalutx, 44 km from Golf Santa Ponsa and 26 km from Palma Intermodal Station.

Amazing views all day with an incredible plunge pool. Fun hike (30-40mins) to Fornalutx for morning pastries before the sun comes up. Very helpful host.

The location is perfect, just a 5-minute walk to the center of Fornalutx. The property is breathtaking, especially the outdoor area, which is much bigger than the pictures suggest. There is ample seating and a gorgeous outdoor cooking space with everything provided. I also loved how well-catered the house was; there was everything you could possibly need and more. The quirky interior details added even more charm.

Excellent location on the main square. Quirky main building and studios.
Located on Mallorca’s north-west coast, this modern hotel overlooks the Port de Sóller Bay. It offers an impressive infinity pool, a fitness centre and a spa, all with fantastic views.

Fornalutx is a hidden gem, a charming little village in the heart of great mountains. It is definitely for people who love to slow down and enjoy the nature or the rhythm of smaller Majorcan City.
There is a remarkable ice cream place called Pruna, which has locally made ice cream.
The Italian restaurant “Calzone” is to be avoided since each of our orders, pizza, ravioli, or tiramisu doesn't seem Italian 🙈
We had the dinner in Groenk Bistro&Grill. The staff was great, but the food was unfortunately overrated.
If you like a local spot, I recommend visiting the little beach called Cala Tuent. Mostly visited by locals. Or see the Valldemosa and Deia, (must see) charming and a bit bigger neighboring towns.

During winter, Fornalutx is still visited by many tourists for hiking in the nearby mountains. However, there are only two restaurants open during December and you need to make reservations (by phone) for the one in the city center if you want to go there. I can highly recommend them though!
Do not trust Google for telling you opening times of anything in Mallorca. Google is generally unaware of opening times and more often than not we found a closed door.

A lovely village but busier than any of our previous 12 stays. Good choice of restaurants and nice tourist shops. House rentals have become much more expensive. Much more regular bus from local areas such as Soller and the Port mean more day trippers and direct flights from the USA mean more diverse travellers coming.

Absolutely LOVED Fornalutx, beautiful little village with amazing restaurants and Forn de Barri is without a doubt the best bakery I've ever been to. The village is very close to Sóller and Port de Sóller which are two really nice areas. A bit of a trek if you want to go down to Palma or anywhere that side of the island. We stayed in Fornalutx for an entire week and rented a car to drive everywhere, but if I were to do it again I would probably only stay in the village for a couple of days and then stay in somewhere like Palma.

This is the fifth time we have stayed in Fornalutz, so I think you can tell we like it. It's a lovely village with beautiful views over Soller and the Tramunta mountains. There's an excellent village shop, a bakery and several decent cafe's and restaurants. Lots of nice walking in the area.

It is rated one of the prettiest villages in Mallorca and I concur completely. The mountain setting is stunning. The restaurants were very good. For a special treat try the Molon restaurant. We were there during the colourful annual festival which although mainly for the locals and children it still had enough of interest for us tourist like traditional Mallorcan dancing. We had a car but the bus service to Soller was every hour. There were several good walks starting from the village.
If I went again I would avoid the final night of the festval.
Lovely hotel in an even more lovely village. The hotel is located on a street without cars, so quiet and calm. The hotel has 4 floors (no elevator) with nice rooms, comfy beds and a lovely breakfast buffé. Check-in was smooth even with our late arrival.
Ca'n Pera is absolutely gorgeous, as is Fornalutx. We loved our stay here - Toni is so welcoming, the kitchen and garden are divine (the pool in particular, and those views!!). Could not recommend it highly enough. Cannot wait to come back.
This authentic town house has a great location in beautiful Fornalutx. We loved the terrace which is spatious and comfortable and has a great view. Aina is a perfect host and we felt very welcome. Free parking is available close by.
Location location location, the most beautiful outdoor space and absolutely unforgettable views. Fornalutx is a perfect village, close to lots of sights and easy to get to. We had a perfect stay and would love to return.
This is an excellent hotel in a great but quiet location. Staff are extremely friendly and service is excellent. Our room was large and airy. The hill top bar is an excellent place to unwind with beautiful views.
