Corralejo is a mixture of all kinds of visitors you get, there are outdoor activities as well as just people who make it barely to the beach. Shopping for surf clothing is plentiful, otherwise, shops are a bit basic.
Outstanding was a local designer doing her T-shirts called #Mojo. Also, the #Clean-Ocean-Project should be mentioned.
Dinner is outstanding at #Tantaluna, #Margot and the traditional long-standing fish restaurant #Marquesina.
We rented a car and went to the beach of the large sand dune south of the town, 3-5km. Best close sunsets are in #El Cotillo, 20min drive.

Have never been at this time of year before and loved the weather - the fact you cOuld swim on the beach near the RIU hotels which is beautiful ( often in Feb / March when I have been there it’s had red flags). Hardly any wind and beautiful sunshine every day. Good selection of restaurants at a variety of prices to suit every budget. Bike hire good value. Super walks in the calderas if you like walking. Nice craft markets and coffee shops. Plenty of live music every evening in the square or pubs. The ugly duckling is worth a visit - lovely restaurant but you need to book. It’s also a little out of town- but an easy walk or you can get a taxi for about 7 euro. Another nice restaurant also a little out of town is Buddha. Lots of good tapas places in town.

A great resort!
A great resort! Parts we’re quite touristy and built up on the main strip but if you head to the beaches and old town it’s full of lovely restaurants and nice family friendly place to have a drink. We loved the square and the live music they have playing. We went to 3 beaches all with walking distance of our accommodation, which was fantastic as we had 4 children that didn’t want to go far in the heat. Beaches were lovely Sandy beaches with blue sea. Rocky in places but the kids loved this when tide went out, as they could catch crabs! The water park is a great day out for all the family.

We visit twice a year.
We visit twice a year. There is a good music scene and most of the bars and restaurants are excellent, especially in music square. There are 3 or 4 Irish bars where you always receive a warm welcome. Much quieter than Tenerife or Lanzarote. The local people and bar staff are very friendly. If you want the true sandy and quieter beaches then they are a mile or so out of the centre of Corralejo, but well worth the walk.

We loved the fact that it was more of a European feel to the town, it wasn't only British tourists there eating British food! That said, having lived on mainland Spain, we were a little disappointed by the food choice. We thought there would be more traditional Spanish food rather than Indian, Chinese, Steak, Pizza and pasta restaurants. That said, you must visit the ice cream bar at the commercial centre by the spar shop on the main high street (go down the escalators) they are to die for! We were there every day! Flavours include apple pie, cheesecake, strawberry mouse, bounty, lotus, bubblegum - the list goes on - new recipes every day!
There are plenty of tourist shops with all the tack you need, including "knock-off" brands - lol!!!
A lovely walk along the front with lots of restaurants and tapas bars (most bars have the same tapas) - some restaurants are a little pushy to get your business - but that happens everywhere!
Speak some Spanish! They will appreciate the effort! Be polite - please and thank you go a long way - some of the staff are running around like headless chickens and work hard.
There are tours to Lobos Island and Lanzarote if you so desire or you can simply chill out like we did, take a walk, eat ice cream and enjoy the sunshine and dare I say it "wind" although it is warm in July!!!
It's easy to walk around the town as it is totally flat. There are scooters for hire and cycle lanes which makes it very safe.
There is a Lidl or Mercadona and other "Dino" local supermarkets for everyday needs.
We loved it and would return if we were the type of people that revisit places but for us we like to try something new.
We would recommend it if you are not looking for too much excitement as it is pretty chilled and not overcrowded, especially on the beaches.
Explore and enjoy !
great location, well maintained hotel, very nice staff. good place to rest and relax without loud music. 90% of the guests are elderly .
as it was a trip for my birthday i got a birthday card and a big bottle of champagne from the hotel.
Fuerteventura offers a lot of activities that I participated in. Lobos island trip, kitesurfing, buggys it was fantastic,
peace and quiet guaranteed which was my goal .
The Avanti is a beautiful beach front hotel. We had a lovely welcome from Natalie who was so friendly and helpful. Our room was beautiful with many gorgeous little touches, very clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. We loved the roof top terrace and enjoyed the hot tub there. Great location too on the beach and lots of restaurants and bars all around.
The staff who didn't work on reception were excellent and made us feel at home. Samba and Amadou receive special thanks from us, also the two personal trainers at the gym (I can't remember their names).
We liked that we were allowed to leave our all inclusive bands for food and drink till we left the hotel on our departure day.
Super friendly owner and an amazing property. Very Central and close to everything including beach, bars and supermarkets. I have been going to Fuerteventura for over 10 years and this is the best property i have stayed in.
