This is the 2nd time we stayed @GHDM, no disappointments. My family are very comfortable staying here. The underground parking is €12 peace of mind.
Bed and breakfast was a fair price about £120 in total for a family of 3. The breakfast by Luis the chef and his team was exceptional. Extremely attentive staff at front desk, the breakfast restaurant is well presented with abundant fresh food with local treats on offer.
I am vegan, as soon as I pointed out that i had one cereal option, Luis insisted that he made me a fresh grilled vegetable breakfast, with a side or cereals, brown toast, aguacate y blended tomato for my bread. Absolutely outstanding effect, not to mention how delicious my breakfast was. I felt like a queen! We will surely return because it’s very easy to stay here, centrally located. There was a huge fiesta happening in the plaza and 2 years ago a live orchestra played from the plaza castle….amazing, I preferred the orchestra to the fiesta but each to their own. The fiesta was well
Policed and we felt safe to walk to through the enchanting old town to walk off our dinner until about 1am. Love this place! No complaints. I hope they keep their standards.
Never used the gym or spa.

The room was large and comfortable, the bathroom clean and modern. The location was ideal for our needs. We would choose the Alcantara again. The breakfast was ok though not great, especially for an area with such good quality local produce. There lots of bars and restaurants nearby.
The Casa Pizarro Hotel, set in a late 18th-Century house, offers a delightful space next to Plaza Santa Clara and the old quarter of the city ideal to explore Cáceres.

Swimming pool and surrounding grounds very relaxing with bar service! Check out at 12 so could enjoy a morning by the pool after a great breakfast!

It is a beautiful city with lots of historic places to visit. Amazing restaurants to try typical dishes and mainly the cheese! It seems difficult to access sometimes (mainly the old historic area), but taxis reach practically everywhere. Sadly, my trip was a business one and only for a weekend, but the city deserves more days to fully enjoy it!

Beautiful old city, lovely to just wander around.
Beautiful old city, lovely to just wander around. Slightly off the beaten track with not too many foreign tourists there, particularly in February. Speaking a little Spanish is useful. Would definitely recommend.

Carceres is a beautifully preserved old city.
Carceres is a beautifully preserved old city. The museum is very well set out starting with paleotonic times and there is no charge to go in.
I also loved the Arab museum - only a relatively small building but with some many distinct rooms and full of the everyday things that were used. A real house, not just a made to look like one.
Good ‘menu’ at the Colon Kiosk that’s around from the hotel.
Beautiful hotel. Beautifully clean, lovely helpful staff
Great food. Will be re booking to go back.
Room was excellent had plenty room for two small dogs, they left out dog beds and bowls

Caceres was a highlight of a monthlong trip through Portugal and Andalucia. I would like to have spent three or four days there. There's a wonderful modern art museum in the Old City area. Do not miss a romantic nighttime stroll.

Caceres is a must-visit jewel in Spain's repertoire of fabulous historic places to visit. So many places to see but all in walking distance of the parador - Plaza de la Concepcion, Plaza Mayor, Plaza de Santa Maria and the cathedral, Torre do los Pozos, the water cisterns and the Torre de Bujaco. All are wonderful sights to visit. Very easy to walk around and the Plaza Mayor has many restaurants and bars from which to choose where to eat.
The facilities are great. The pool is okay but is missing some plants to make the space more appellative. The room and the breakfast are great. The SPA is small and a bit full even if it is necessary to book the hour to visit it, but it is well equipped. The staff is nice. Generically, we liked to be in this hotel and we loved to be there and visit Cáceres, a lovely city.
Very comfortable hotel with nice beds. Perfect stayover for travelling from Spain to Portugal. Location is very central with cafes, park and restaurant on walking distance and also a walk in the old city center.
Matras are nice, clean room and spacious.
Very easy to book last minute, friendly and positive receptionist. Quiet street for sleeping
This apartment is overlooking the Plaza Mayor and has the most wonderful views on the historical old city, with restaurants at the entrance and a supermarket as stone throw away. It is an excellent, affordable place to stay in one of Spain's most wonderful cities. Communication by the owner also very helpful and friendly.
The menu of the day sent to our room was absolutely delicious and amazing value.
Pet friendly with parking and a central location in Cacares .. which we loved.
