It was a beautiful building in the heart of town. On arrival I was given a guided tour of the building and shown the roof terrace. The palacio had been beautifully and thoughtfully renovated and the owners were justifiably proud of the results. Although I did not need it my accessible room on the ground floor was well equipped to accommodate those who need greater access. There was no problem parking my bicycle in an internal patio. The owners could not have been more helpful accommodating my requirements.
Casas Rurales el Balcon de la Brena is located in Almodóvar del Río and has a private pool and lake views. There is a private entrance at the country house for the convenience of those who stay.

The villa was traditional, spacious and great bath towels. The plunge pool was very clean and good to have in the heat. Location was perfect - easy drive into Cordoba and 5 mins to Almodóvar del Rio for restaurants, supermarket and amazing medieval castle! An 8 minute drive gets you to the reservoir which was great for swimming and great restaurant at the location serving delicious food with fantastic views.
Very kind that the landlord lady did the effort to prepare for me, the only guest, a late complete meal. On a holiday.
Morning breakdast also okay, landlord funny and chat with him and locals.

I guess most guests come because of the great Almodovar castle - for that the hotel is a good location, 10 minutes by car.

This is a really attractive historic building. The rooms are spacious and with high ceilings. The owners are very friendly and helpful. The location is on one side of the attractive central square of the town (and very close to excellent restaurants and the castle), but due to the thick walls and location of the bedroom it is very quiet in the hotel.
Beautiful new, large pool with amazing views over Almodovar del Rio Castillo. Surrounded by olive trees with the sun setting over the groves. All newly refurbished and modern inside. Great location to visit both cordoba (magical) and Sevilla. Patricia, the host was friendly and always available.
Had a lovely stay in this beautiful very authentic hotel, the owners were very welcoming, kind and helpful..gorgeous rooms very comfortable and spotlessly clean highly recommend.
