we loved the concept with the open villa but still with a comfortable space inside. We also loved the privacy of our suite and our bill host Keldon.

I think the hotel is better than described here. The beach is much better than expected and there is WiFi in the rooms and across the grounds. The staff is incredibly kind. Close to a great affordable restaurant, Strawberry Restaurant, and a good supermarket, Savers enterprises.

We loved our beachfront cottage, neither of us wanted to leave. The beach is beautiful and we almost had the place to ourselves. We only had a quick weekend away but we visited from a neighbouring island and plan to go back and enjoy the setting once again and experience a little more of the surrounding area. The breakfast available at the adjoining restaurant was really great and we also tried lunch on our final day. Staff were exceptional, we had atm issues on our final day and they were able to assist in order for us to get home without missing our departure.
I absolutely loved waking up to the sound of the sea and opening the cottage door to the morning light over the water. Could have spent hours on the shady terrace reading, it was perfect. I also made a fuss of the resident cat, she was gorgeous.

The host was the absolute heart of the accommodation! I booked this place thinking it was a multi room hotel so when we arrived in the middle of nowhere to a house perched up a very steep hill, I didn't think we were in the right place so we drove off. The GPS redirected us back and when we got back we were happily greeted by Jo-Ann, whose beautiful smile never left her face for the three days of our stay. Other than her smile, we enjoyed chatting with J-A a lot about gardening, island politics, her projects and both our world views:) The apt. is rather small yet has everything one needs and we tended to live outside anyway, enjoying the garden and the magnificent ocean view with a glimpse of Marie-Galante. But this hostess with the mostess has a super power to discover: she's an amazing chef cook! I don't know where she finds all the ingredients yet she knows how to handle her chicken, fish and plenty of veggies, and she's generous too!!! Both breakfast and dinner were equally scrumptious, delicious and with lots of variety. Thanks again Jo-Ann for your warmest of welcomes.

The whole setup is perfect. Amazing location to disconnect from the world. Still close to everything you could need on the nicest area of Portsmouth.
The vibe is really chilled. You can go swimming with the sperm whales with Andrew who moores his boat and runs the operation right at the front of the property. Totally worth going with him. We went out three days with him and just realized he has the better connection with the whales in the area… overall perfect setup for this unusual yet magical adventure on this gorgeous island.
Steven and the entire staff made my stay in Dominica a pleasant and special time! Everyone at the hotel was caring and very helpful, no matter whether it was about suggestions for daytrips, phonecalls or appointments, providing any information or help that I needed.
Breakfast was delicious, everything was freshly prepared and I got some extras for free.
There are interesting sights near the hotel, like Indian River, Cabrits National Park, and beautiful beaches.
I would definitely like to go there again!
The staff are very friendly/helpful and the location in Portsmouth is perfect just on the edge of town. The hotel sits right on the beachfront ideal for swimming, snorkelling and perfect for watching the setting sun. There is a reef right next to the pier you can spend hours snorkelling and observing the marine life, the hotel lends out snorkelling gear for free.
