We had a very pleasant stay with Irene and Clemens, with our family of 2 children. We had apartment 'Wiesengrund' which was very spacious with 2 large bedrooms, big living and kitchen.
We really enjoyed the big garden with a beautiful cherry tree under which we could relax in the comfortable chairs and rocking chair. Irene and Clemens really make you feel at home, are very caring and offer good tips for trips and restaurants in the neighbourhood. We had the luxury of fresh bread that was delivered every morning!
The village itself is relatively quiet, but offers a nice marble playground with a small swimming lake. There are some restaurants close by, we enjoyed Waldesruh. Also nice excursions like the waterfalls in Neuhausen (CH) and the Rothaus brewery are well within reach. With 2 very hot days we went to the close-by Schluchsee to cool down a bit.
All in all a very nice week and we and our children enjoyed the apartment and garden very much!

They went out of their way to cook a meal for myself as I was late arriving, due to bad traffic coming up from Italy.
The property is a typical Black Forest hotel with all of its warmth and charm.it also has a great chill out zone around the back which is great if you were stressed in the traffic.

He was very friendly and helpful, with everything. A quick conversation on our plan could result in a few amazing tips that could really make a difference. he was always available and helpful.
The apartments are spacious and comfortable, plenty of light, reasonable comfortable, with amazing view of the start from the area, close to the lakes and most attraction in the south of the black forest and the reinfalls in swiserland.

Everything. The hotel was beautifully positioned on the edge of the forest walk to the Schlüchtsee. The room with the balcony was fabulous, staff were great, breakfast was lovely. The present of homemade jam when we were leaving was a lovely touch. The honour system for taking cold Rothaus beers as and when one wanted them was a delight.
Myself and two friends stayed here for two nights in June 2023. The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly and accommodating. The location was really good as we were touring on motorbikes and both the B500 and the Swiss Passes (Grimsel, Susten and Furka) were in easy reach. We only ate at the Hotel Kreuz restaurant once during our stay (see below) but the evening meals were good as was breakfast on both mornings.
Beautiful, spacious accommodation. Friendly hosts and very well equipped. Exceptionally clean and thoughtfully renovated without losing traditional charm. Loved the outside terrace with countryside views. Children loved playing on the trampoline and the marble run at KugelWaldPfad at Ühlingen-Birkendorf was great fun for all.

Breakfast was super and it was the only good thing about this hotel that is worth mentioning. The kitchen staff was charming, helpful, and friendly and the variety of food was extremely good. They were the best at the facility.
