Actually everything was just excellent.
We couldn't find anything , that didn't fit at all.

Straubing was the first time on our route and also very nice to us

The hotel was located very centrally in Straubing, no complaints there. The food in the restaurant, where we ate in the evening, wasn't bad and wasn't too expensive. We got three ouzos each on the house, which was nice. We were allowed to store our bikes in hte garage overnight.

Good hotel in central Straubing with easy access to lots of cafes, restaurants, shopping and a nice walk down to the Danube. Friendly personal with good, clean rooms if a bit dated. Room had a fridge with some reasonably priced drinks and snacks. All rooms seem to have Air Conditioning. We didn't need it but it's nice to have and not as common as one would expect in Germany.

The hotel offered the expected service for 3-stars, everything was OK. Due to very hot summer maybe an air-condition would give even more comfort to someone, but it was well replaced by opening windows during night, luckily without mosquitos :-)

Straubing is a handsome little place, quite lovely in fact. The main thoroughfare is wide and attractive with lots of shops, all very well kept. There was a market just packing up when I arrived in early afternoon. There is a beautiful Albrecht Dürer window in the church, which is well worth visiting. The Main Street, Theresienplatz, has several street Cafés or restaurants. Hotel Gaubodenhof had a large out-door eating area on Theresienplatz.

I booked apartment with terace,got tiny rat hole upstairs with tiny windows,was +32 c....drunk noisy people around ...knocked at my door at night...plates and cups were dirty...bed was full of ketchup...and no receptionist....no one is to talk...
Horible, nasty ,dirty place....
This was a perfect hotel in the middle of the towncenter of Straubing. Lovely employees, a good and spacious room, a very rich breakfast buffet together with walking-distance to a charming town took us really by surprise! Also good to be able to park our car safe in the parking garage in the lower floor of the hotel! We will be planning a new visit! Thank you!
