The nearby town of Esslingen was much more interesting. I understand Ostfildern was heavily damaged during the war, so doesn't have the charming medieval buildings and streets of Esslingen. We did visit the Ostfildern cemetery which was interesting, but all in all, not much in the town itself. I did have a terrific trout dinner at the hotel though!
It is a perfect hotel if you come to the Technical Academy of Esslingen (TAE) for business trip. TAE is just 5 min walk away. It an old style hotel but maintained very well, clean and tidy. My compliments to the breakfast options offered. Small various buns are freshly made each morning. If you like sweet pastry, you have to be fast, otherwise you won't get any if the hotel is full. Free entry tickets to public pool are offered at the reception. Personnel is very friendly.
Very good standard of accomodation, everything was OK. Friendly staff, good breakfast, free hotel parking. Good connection to highway, nearby fuel station, Mc Donald cca 3 min. by car. "Mini tea-coffee station" at room. Quiet room - triple windows.
