The rooms were good, all the facilities you need. The bathrooms were renovated nicely. The staff was friendly. Breakfast was okay; happy with the selection, especially muesli & nuts. Coffee not great. We were happy they could still serve us a drink in the eve (10pm).

The nearby town of Esslingen was much more interesting.
The nearby town of Esslingen was much more interesting. I understand Ostfildern was heavily damaged during the war, so doesn't have the charming medieval buildings and streets of Esslingen. We did visit the Ostfildern cemetery which was interesting, but all in all, not much in the town itself. I did have a terrific trout dinner at the hotel though!

It is a perfect hotel if you come to the Technical Academy of Esslingen (TAE) for business trip. TAE is just 5 min walk away. It an old style hotel but maintained very well, clean and tidy. My compliments to the breakfast options offered. Small various buns are freshly made each morning. If you like sweet pastry, you have to be fast, otherwise you won't get any if the hotel is full. Free entry tickets to public pool are offered at the reception. Personnel is very friendly.
A great find! Our one night stay was a welcomed respite from the drive from the UK to Italy.
The hotel location was minutes off our route, situated in a small residential area.
The staff were all superb, welcoming & friendly.
Overall, exceptionally clean and great value for money.
Staff were excellent. Breakfast was excellent. Cleanliness was excellent. The facilities are dated somewhat but do exude some old-world charm. Overall this is a very good hotel for the price.
