The breakfast was okay, although nothing special. The beds are really excellent. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The few parking spaces in the courtyard are quickly taken, and then it is difficult to find a usable parking space.

The town is beautiful and worth traveling to, but a very important note: if it's a weekend trip travel Fri- Sun. Everything even some restaurants are closed on Sunday and Monday. Being spoiled Berlin dwellers we came into town for a Sun-Mo trip, and got to enjoy only about 30% of what the area has to offer.

Our host was helpful when we arrived slightly later than planned. The room was a good size, the beds comfortable and the bathroom nice and clean, like the room. Breakfast was very generous - lots of choice. The Pension is in a quiet position; the location was excellent for us wanting to visit the Porzellanmanufaktur showrooms, and within easy walking distance of the Altstadt and station.
Hotel was very good, and I thought I would give the best recommendation. Unfortunately we had to leave one day sooner because of family matters and we were told by reception staff that money for parking and city tax will be refunded to us. Unfortunately it did nit happen even-thought I did write to hotel at least three times…
So would we come back? No. We lost our trust.
The hotel is conveniently located in the heart of Meissen so if you're into urban tourism, do not hesitate to book a room. The building is full of character and the breakfast was outstanding (prosecco included)! We even ate in the hotel restaurant and we can also recommend that! Really tasty.
If you're gonna visit Meißen - stay here! The view is amazing. We spend 4 days here. Our meal in the balcony restaurant was the highlight. Fabulous food and wine with breathtaking views over the roofs below. Breakfast was excellent, lots of choice.
Spacious apartment, central with easy reach either by train or car.
The host also provided us with a bottle of water and 2 small wines as a welcome.
The apartment is also very close to 2 supermarkets and 5 min walking to the centre.
