In our bicycle journeys across Europe we stay at about 80 - 90 hotels each year . There are only a few that we make a special effort to stop at more than once . This is one of those - we have stayed here 4 times in the past 5 years and intend to come back tor another stay next year .
Inside bicycle storage is great with charging receptacles if needed and hotel is close to Main Radweg.
Reception is exceptional. Very friendly and helpful staff go out of their way to make you feel comfortable.
Our room, #29 was spacious , almost a suite , bright with great lighting and very clean . Bathroom was clean , modern and the shower was great .

Very close to Center with multiple restaurants and shoppes . Our favorite restaurant for dinner is La Bruschetta .

The location after I got to know where everything was. The breakfast was great and the attendant was very helpful. After inquiring about a taxi, the desk clerk had one waiting for me when I checked out.

Breakfast was exceptional with homemade jams that were delicious in a sunny room.
The connected restaurant has great food, much of it sourced locally. It was a good location for a family dinner.

Haus im Herrengrund has accommodations in Schollbrunn. Located around 23 miles from Unterfrankenhalle, the hotel is also 28 miles away from Mainfränkisches Museum.
Although this is called the Bike Lodge, and we did use it as a base for our bike trip along the River Main, it's actually an excellent modern hotel with a young enthusiastic staff, beautiful rooms and an excellent buffet breakfast. Very reasonably-priced evening meals are also available, and there's a variety of local beers for the enthusiast. We were able to leave our car for a few days without extra charge while we did our bike trip. We'll certainly return here to explore more of the area
A comfortable modern hotel which is only a short walk from the historic town centre. We asked for a wheelchair friendly room and were given one. The hotel was sufficiently good that we decided to extend our stay for a further night.
There is direct access from the hotel to the Main cycleway via a shared footway/cycleway on the newer of the two bridges over the river. This is not immediately obvious but we found it.
We called the hotel to let them know our arrival time. Due to traffic conditions we were late , arrived around 10 pm, the kitchen was already closed but the Lady at the reception was waiting for us, and she made sure we have a lovely dinner. She was absolutely wonderful. If I could I would give a 10++++ for the service, for the room etc. And the location it’s stunning! I will definitely come back.
Cute and cozy hotel close to the town and castle. Nice seating area to play cards or have a drink in the evening. Breakfast was delish, with a nice selection.
