Although it has been completely renovated to a very high standard, this is essentially an old-fashioned, family run bed and breakfast in the German style. There are four double rooms and a family suite, all with private bathrooms. Before I arrived the hostess responded swiftly to my questions and requests, and once I arrived she couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. She serves a generous breakfast with eggs and an assortment of bread, sausage and cheese to each guest individually.
The location at the edge of the artist village Worpswede is ideal for motorists (parking) and cyclists. I was on foot, and glad to find that it's just a few steps from the stop for the no. 670 bus from Bremen main station. I chose it because it was within walking distance of a friend's house; the walk to Worpswede (museums, galleries, restaurants and cafes) is about 25 minutes.
When I visited there were building works going on nearby, but I wasn't troubled by the noise; the windows are very well sound- and weatherproofed.

The whole experience was truly really nice. We were warmly welcomed by our host (Mark) and shown around.
The room was beautiful and perfect for our stay. We had all the basics we could need in the room as well as a store just a short drive away for anything additional.
We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again.
I would recommend the room for shorter stays rather than long ones .
Meeting the dog was a bonus. 😊

Very good value for money, uncomplicated communication, location hard to beat, well connected to Bremen via public transportation. As we're not very tall, the ceiling, which is the most common complaint people have, didn't disturb us much.

The location facing the Wallanlage park and yet so close to the shopping streets and the train station is unbeatable. There was a rich and healthy variety for breakfast. The Orange juice could be more natural. The superior rooms are spacious and quiet at night. You can even hear the ducks while falling asleep.

Very easy to use the automated check-in system. The room was spacious and very clean with all the amenities you would need for an overnight stay. Parking was free and spacious. We also walked about a kilometer to the centre of the town for an evening meal which was good quality. Also chatted to some friendly locals. There were plenty of other places to eat. In the morning we went to the hotel recommended breakfast café. - the breakfast menu was excellent.
The location is really nice - very quiet and peaceful. It is also close to the tram station if you don't have a car and need/want to get to the city center of Bremen. The check in through the "automat" was pretty easy to do and had no problems with the room access. The room was big enough for 1-2 person(s). It was really clean, comfortable enough, and had most of the things you'd expect from a hotel room.
The staff very friendly. At late arrival I have asked for a glass of beer. Althought the bar was closed, I was given a beer to the room.
The bus stop is 50 m from hotel - one bus to get to Messe Bremen or Main station (but reserve decent time for that).
