Simple but clean and cozy, and accommodated us well for our purpose, which was an overnight stay near the Ravenna Gorge Christmas market. There's an S-bahn train line just a couple min walk from the hotel which takes you to the shuttle pickup point, although it doesn't run often, so check the times in advance if you're planning to use that. Free parking on site. The room was spacious enough and provided what we needed for a short stay. European style breakfast is included, which is nice.

Attractive location on the edge of Kirchzarten with a mixture of old farm buildings and more modern houses nearby.
The Landgasthof Baren has been operated by the same family for over 500 years and remains a very well-run family hotel. The staff are very friendly and we enjoyed seeing various local family groups holding their celebrations at the hotel. The food was excellent - a non-touristy German menu focussing on seasonal specialities. Our room and bathroom were very comfortable and well-equipped.
Quiet hotel just off the main street.very nicely renovated.everything was clean and tidy.Breakfast was good with lots of choice. Because you are not in one of the main towns you are provided with a konas card that gives you free travel on the train and bus.
Lovely Hotel in a quiet village. Excellent staff, good chef. You will not be disappointed. Came here to tour the area on our motorcycle so appreciated the car parking arrangements at the rear of the Hotel. We want to stay longer next time.
Very kind and helpful staff! The travel card you receive by paying the tourist tax is amazing and so easy to travel to Freiburg. Kirchzarten is a small lovely town and the accommodation had everything we needed and was very clean!
