the breakfast location was good and the food was excelent.
Herford is my hometown so I am biased. I love returns to home as so much to do.The MARTa museum is brilliant. Wonderful surroundings for walking and mountain biking. Good places to eat out. Recommend Kupferherz and La Taverna. Shopping is a bit limited but Bielefeld near by. Cafe Kleine for breakfast. Give it a try! The churches are well worth checking out too. So serene and beautiful - and I am not a Christian.

Great welcome from Nadine who met us at the door when we arrived. Also 3 Herforder Pils in the fridge with a bottle of mineral water. Both Alexander und Nadine were very accommodating and helpful. Since the last time we had visited they had improved the kitchen sink unit. Also when they found out it was my wife's birthday they helped with the decoration. A really lovely and missing being able to book it next summer.
Hotel Zur Fürstabtei is a well maintained and attractive historic building.
The reception staff ( when on duty ) is very accommodating and eager to help with any question asked.
The location for travellers who want to make Herford their main destination for cultural, personal activities this is a first choice domicile

A very beautiful and stylish room with an excellent bed, nice furniture and a perfect bathroom. There were coffee making facilities, as well a minibar in the room.
The location of the hotel was perfect, right in the middle of the city, but in a peaceful position.
